Michael Seery, Edenmore, Ballinamuck, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully in the care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital, on Saturday, March 19, 2022 of Michael Seery, Edenmore, Ballinamuck, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Pakie and Anna May, brothers Jamesie (Australia) and Sean (Lincoln, U.K.). Michael will be sadly missed and remembered by his sisters Mary Catherine (Babs) (Edenmore, Ballinamuck) and Anna Rose (Leeds U.K.), brother Tom (Main Street, Arva), sister-in-law Margaret, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road on Tuesday, March 22 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. (Walk through only). Michael's funeral cortege will leave his residence on Wednesday morning, March 23 at 11.45am to arrive at St Colmcille's Church, Aughnacliffe for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Longford Wheelchair Association c/o Michael J Dolan & Son Funeral Directors or any family member. House private please.

Matthew (Matt) Sexton, Bray, Wicklow / Aughnacliffe, Co Longford


The death occurred, quietly & without fuss, while in the exceptional loving & compassionate care of the entire management & staff of Cairnhill Nursing Home, Herbert Road, Bray, on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 of Matthew (Matt) Sexton of Sidmonton Avenue, Bray, Co Wicklow, formerly Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford & The Strand Hotel, Bray, Co Wicklow.
Beloved husband of the late Aideen (née McHenry), & brother of the late Francie. Remembered with love by his family, son Peter, daughter Mary, sisters Rose McKeon & May Reilly, brother Pat, grandchildren Maitiu, Liam, Ronan & Madeline (Maddy), daughter-in-law Bonnie (née Hoffman), son-in-law Ned King, brother-in-law Michael, sister-in-law Kathleen, nieces & nephews Breege Bohan, Niall Reilly, Gerard Reilly, Siobhan Reilly, Eamon Reilly, Julie Sexton, PJ Sexton, John Tough & Clare Kingston, extended family, neighbours & large circle of friends.
Peter & Mary would like to take this opportunity to thank most sincerely Matt’s nephew John Tough who was a tremendous comfort & someone dad could always depend on, his amazing neighbours of Warburton Terrace, Margaret & Johnny Fitzsimons, Bray meals on wheels, The Duggan family (Martello Bray) & all those who made his last few years somewhat easier & possible to live alone right up until five weeks ago. Thank you all so much.
Matt will rest at home from 4pm on Saturday March 19, 2022. Removal on Sunday, March 20 at 12.20pm walking to Holy Redeemer Church, Main Street, Bray, arriving for prayers at 1pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, March 21 at 10am after which Matt will be laid to rest with his beloved Aideen in Springfield Cemetery, Killarney Road, Bray.
