The death occurred, after a short illness, on Sunday, February 13, 2022 of Michael Sweeney, Ballyedmond, Clonberne, Co Galway, latterly Brocklagh, Drumlish, Co Longford, and Birmingham, England.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Karhleen (née Farrell). Michael will be sadly missed by his sons Michael, Liam, Dermot, Patrick, Brendan, daughter Ann, daughters-in-law Dawn and Joanna, grandchildren Mikie, Tomás, Eoin, Cormac and Eléonore, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and his many good friends in Ireland, England and beyond. Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford, on Friday, March 11 from 10am to 11.30am, for immediate family only, followed with removal to St. Mary's Church, Drumlish, for Requiem mass at 12 noon, burial afterwards in the New Cemetery. Michael Hourican, Carrigaline Road, Douglas, Cork / Longford Town, Longford
The death occurred, unexpectedly, at the Cork University Hospital, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Michael Hourican, Carrigaline Road, Douglas, Cork and late of Main Street, Longford Town, Longford. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Mulqueen) and loving brother of Pat, Ann (Brady), Ursula (White) and the late Desmond. Sadly missed by his loving wife , brother, sisters, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law Willie, Jerry & Phil, sisters-in-law Anne, Eileen & Elizabeth, relatives and friends.
Requiem Mass on Wednesday, March 9 at 11am at St Columba’s Church, Douglas. Michael’s Requiem Mass will be live streamed on www.churchservices.tv/douglas  . The death occurred, peacefully, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Joe Donohoe, Butterfield, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by his parents James and Kate and by his brother Liam. Joe will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, beloved wife Anne, daughters Catherine Hanley and Joanna, sons Peter and Kevin, grandchildren Andrea, Peter, Gary, James, Gavin, Rory, Sean and Conor, son-in-law Jim, daughters-in-law Noreen and Fiona, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death occurred, peacefully at home, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Phil Brady, Ballymore, Granard, Longford, N39 E2R2. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen. Deeply regretted by his loving family daughters Anne, Meave and Deirdre, son Philip, adoring grandchildren Megan and Séan, brother Frank (Cavan), sons-in-law Hugh and Aidan, nephews, nieces, relatives and his many friends and neighbours. Phil will repose at his home (N39E2R2) on Sunday, March 6 from 4pm until 9pm and again on Monday, March 7 from 2pm until 4pm. House private at all other times please. Removal from his home on Monday, March 7 to St Mary’s Church Granard arriving at 7.30pm Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 8 at 12 noon followed by Christian burial in Granardkill cemetery.

Edward Reilly, Corfree, Loch Gowna, Cavan / Longford

The death occurred, tragically in The Netherlands, of Edward Reilly Corfree, Loch Gowna, Cavan / Longford. Beloved son of Martin and Bernadette, dear brother of Aiden (Mina), Michelle (Gary), Pauline (Duncan) and Lisa (Eoin), treasured uncle of Nathan, Yvonne and Aibhín. Sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, brother, sisters, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. 
Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Wednesday evening, March 9 from 5pm until 7pm. Removal from his home on Thursday morning, March 10 at 11.40am to the Church of the Holy Family, Loch Gowna, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. The death occurred, following an accident, at University College Hospital Galway, on Sunday, March 6, 2022 of John McEvilly, Lisheen, Strokestown, Co Roscommon and formerly of Birmingham, UK, and Cornafulla, Athlone.
Beloved husband of Doreen and loving father of Philip, Johnny, Damian and Caroline. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife and family, step-sons Darren and Damian, step daughter Caroline, grandchildren, sisters Anne, his twin sister Eileen, Bridget and Mary (all in the USA), brothers PJ, Tony and Walter (Birmingham), nephews, nieces, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends. Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown, on Thursday, March 10 from 6pm to 8pm, followed by removal to Kiltrustan Church. Walk through only. Funeral Mass on Friday, March 11 at 11am. Eileen O'Hara (née Carty), Cloontuskert, Lanesboro, Co Roscommon

The death occurred, peacefully, after a short illness bravely fought, in the devoted care of the staff at Ciúin Suite, Mullingar Regional Hospital, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Eileen O’Hara (née Carty) Cloontuskert, Lanesboro, Co Roscommon.
Beloved mother of the late Fergal, daughter of the late Patrick and the recently deceased Annie, much loved mother to Finola and Ciara and adoring grandmother to Kelsey. She will be very sadly missed by her family, sisters Mary Quinn (Corlea, Killoe) and Ena Sweeney (Cartron), Strokestown), brother Sean (Cloontuskert), sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, Finola’s partner Martin, nieces, nephews, relatives, many friends and good neighbours. May Eileen rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon on Tuesday evening, March 8 from 5.30pm until 7pm (walk through only please). Removal from her home in Cloontuskert on Wednesday morning, March 9 at 12.30pm arriving at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Ballyleague for Mass of the Resurrection at 1pm. The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by her family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Ballinamore Nursing Unit in her 98th year, on Sunday, March 6, 2022 of Molly Prior (nee Fox), Liscarn, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by her husband Paddy, daughter Maureen, sons Micheál & Bernie and also her deceased brothers and sisters. She will be sadly missed by her sons Patsy, Myles, Tommy & Killian, daughters Nonie, Kathleen, Bridie, Siobháin, Geraldine & Angela, her brother Michael (Sydney), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her 32 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her many friends. Removal from the Funeral Home at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 8 proceeding via Lisacarn to St Patrick's Church, Aughawillan for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm followed by burial in Oughteragh cemetery, Ballinamore. Angela Gannon (née Carroll), Dun Darrach, Longford Town, Longford / Summerhill, Meath / Kiltimagh, Mayo

The death occurred, peacefully in Our Lady's Unit, St. Joseph's Care Centre, with her loving husband Pat and ever caring staff by her side, on Thursday, March 3, 2022 of Angela Gannon (née Carroll), Dun Darrach, Longford Town, Longford / Summerhill, Meath / Kiltimagh, Mayo. Angela is sadly missed by Pat (PJ), her brother Vincent, nieces and nephews, good neighbour Peter and her many friends from Longford and Meath. May She Rest In Peace.
Angela's funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, March 8 at 12 noon in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Dangan, Summerhill followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Joe Sweeney, formerly of Kevinsfort, Sligo Town, Sligo / Roscommon / Dromahair, Co Leitrim

The death occurred, suddenly, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Joe Sweeney,  8 Hillcrest, Stonebridge, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim and formerly of Kevinsfort, Sligo and Corrigeen, Co Roscommon.
Predeceased by his parents Joe and Josephine and his siblings Michael Francis, Carmel and Noel. Deeply regretted by his partner Anna Ryan, his children Carmen McDermottroe (Coolaney), Noelle Galvan (Ballisodare), Joseph (Collooney), Trevor (Castletroy, Co. Limerick), Joanne Lydon (Dubai) and their mother Mary Sweeney (Ballisodare). He will be sadly missed by his partner, children, his much loved and adored grandchildren Alli, Reuben, Sophia, Joseph Sebastian, Jessica, Carter, Megan, Brody, Jonathan, Amelia and Theodore, brother Des (Galway), sisters Mary (Strokestown), Patricia (UK) and Martha (Tulsk), sons-in-law Noel, Simon and Phillip, daughter-in-law Avril, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The  death  occurred, suddenly & peacefully after a long illness at her residence in England, on Monday, February 28, 2022 of Maureen (Mary) Brady (nee Mimnagh), Wendover, Aylesbury, Bucks, England and late of St Michael's Road, Longford.
Sister of John and Thomas Mimnagh, Longford and Brighton. Predeceased by her parents John Mimnagh & Kate Mimnagh (nee Barden, Ferefad) and brothers Pat London and Longford and Josie Mimnagh, St Michael's Road, Longford. 
Missed by her son Patrick Brady, London and daughter Kathleen Bliss, Hampshire, England, grandsons Daniel Sandford & Brendan Sandford & Michael Bliss Hampshire & Cambridge, nephews, Darren & Joseph Mimnagh & niece Kathy Mimnagh, London, England, brothers and sisters in law, Abbeylara.
