Faith was very important for Rose and herself and Michael attended all ceremonies in St Mary's church in Granard where they sat under the gallery every Sunday.
Rose reposed in Smith's funeral home in Granard on Tuesday evening, February 24, and big crowds passed through to offer sincere sympathy to her family and to say a fond farewell to a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and great neighbour who will be sorely missed.
Following her reposing, Rose's remains were removed to her beloved St Mary's Church and as the hearse made its way up the hill it was flanked by guards of honour from St Mary's GAA club, Granard and from the Sean MacEoin branch of Fine Gael.
