The death occurred, peacefully at home after a long illness surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, February 28, of David Murphy (N.T. Retired), Valhalla, Carra, Granard, Longford, N39 H590. Predeceased by his infant son John, parents Pat and Anna and brothers Garry and John. Deeply regretted by his wife Margaret, sons David Jnr, Paul and Nigel, brothers Paddy and Brian, sisters Aideen, Ann and Barbara, his six beautiful grandchildren, daughters-in-law Mary and Siobhan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and many friends. Past Principal of Drumkilly NS, Kilnaleck, Co Cavan. May He Rest in Peace.
Reposing at his residence in Carra from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, March 1. House Strictly Private at all other times. Removal on Wednesday, March 2 at 11.45am to arrive for 12 noon funeral mass to St Mary’s Church, Granard followed by burial in Carra Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Reposing at the O’Hora Funeral Home, Kiltimagh on Wednesday evening, March 2 from 6.30pm until 8pm. The funeral cortège will leave the funeral home on Thursday morning, March 3 at 11am for Lakelands Crematorium for private cremation. Family flowers only.

Roscommon and formerly of Glenamuckla, Newmarket, Co Cork.
Predeceased by his parents Michael and Hannah, brothers John and William (Billy).
