The death occurred, suddenly at her home, on Friday, February 11, 2022 of Rita Casey (née Kelly), Plantation Road, Abbeyderg, Kenagh, Longford, N39 VF97. Predeceased by her parents Barney and Elizabeth, sister Eileen and her infant brother Martin. Deeply regretted by her loving husband John, daughter Genevieve, son-in-law Vincent, grandchildren Sadhbh and Bríain, special niece Pauline and her husband Michael and Nephew John and his partner Pat, brothers Seán, Bob, Barney and Tom, sister Margaret, sisters-in-law Maisie, Gaye, Margaret and Marie, brother-in-law Denis, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great- grandnephews, great-grandnieces, cousins, relatives, good neighbours and friends. May She Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Kelly’s Funeral Home, Athlone Road, Longford, N39 K381, this Sunday evening, February 13 from 4pm until 6pm (walk through only please). Requiem Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Carrickedmond, on Monday, February 14 at 12 noon, followed by burial afterwards in Abbeyderg Cemetery. Claire Rita Fitzpatrick (née Young), Loch Gowna, Cavan


The death occurred, peacefully, at her home surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 of Claire Rita Fitzpatrick (née Young), San Francisco (USA)  and Loch Gowna, Cavan. Predeceased by her husband William in Ireland in 1980. Sadly missed by her adoring family; Peggy O'Donnell (Dennis), Kathleen Reilly (Eamon), Bill Fitzpatrick (Petra), Helen Dolan (Frank), John Fitzpatrick (Margaret), Timmy Fitzpatrick (Deirdre), Joan Fitzpatrick (Paul), adoring grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Sadly missed by her devoted sister-in-law Molly and her many nieces and nephews in both California and Ireland. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.

Michael (Mick) Flanagan, 3 Grange Cottages, Ballymahon Road, Mullingar, Westmeath / Strokestown, Roscommon


The death occurred, peacefully after a short illness bravely borne at Mullingar General Hospital surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, February 10, 2022 of Michael (Mick) Flanagan, 3 Grange Cottages, Ballymahon Road, Mullingar, Westmeath and formerly of Nadnaveagh, Strokestown, Co Roscommon. Predeceased by his loving wife Bernadette, parents Jack & Maureen and his sisters Ursula & Pauline. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing sons, Peadár, Eoghán, Fearghál, Comán, Dáire & Cónaire, daughters-in-law Geraldine, Susan, Lisa, Catríona & Bernece, grandchildren Jonathan, Saóirse, Sarah Jane, Cormac, Aisling, Ellen, Michael, Sorcha, Méabh & Fiachra Jack, brother John, sisters Moira, Eileen & Nuala, aunt Kathleen, nephews, nieces, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends especially Michaela Hogg. Rest In Peace.
Reposing at his home on Sunday, February 13 from 2pm to 6pm. Removal on Monday, February 14 to the Cathedral of Christ The King to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Walshestown Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of, if desired, to The Irish Heart Foundation. House private please, except during reposing times. Michael McDonagh, Midara Gardens, Ardnacassa, Longford Town, Longford / Claremorris, Mayo
The death occurred, peacefully at home in the loving care of his wife Margaret, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 of Michael McDonagh of Midara Gardens, Ardnacassa, Longford and formerly from Oory, Taugheen, Claremorris. Predeceased by his parents John and Annie, brother James, sisters Tess, Annie, Kathleen and Mary. Michael will always be remembered with love by his wife Margaret, his sisters, brother, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at his home for family and close friends with removal on Saturday, February 12 at 10.40am to St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford for Funeral Mass at 11am with interment afterwards in St Colman’s Cemetery, Claremorris, Co. Mayo at 2.15p.m. (approx). Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.longfordparish.com 
Please observe social distancing at all times while the funeral cortege is on its route. Facemasks to be worn as per guidelines and no handshaking please.

The death occurred, peacefully in the devoted care of the staff at Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar surrounded by his loving family after a short illness, bravely borne, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 of James Patrick (JP) Murtagh, Ballytoohey, Tarmonbarry, Roscommon / Tarmonbarry, Longford.
JP will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his sister Mary, brother in law Al , nieces Therese, Olivia and Ita, nephew-in-law Anthony: nephew Sean and niece-in-law Louise, grandniece Chloe, grandnephews Tiernan and Eoghan, relatives, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her husband James. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Mary Foley (Mohill), Teresa Tierney (Ballyconnell) & Roseann Christy (Ballinamore), her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Kevin McNamee, sister Bridget Crossan, extended family, relatives & friends. Rest in Peace.

Beloved husband and best friend of Margaret and dear father to Linda (McManus), Sheila (Lynch), Angela (Wynne) and sister to Mairead. The death occurred, peacefully at the North West Hospice, Sligo surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, February 10, 2022 of Marian McCaffrey (née Cleary), Adoon, Gorvagh, Leitrim and formerly of Clonfinane, Carrig, Co Tipperary. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Eileen Cleary.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband; Jim sons; Denis, Eoin, Seamus, Anthony and Robert, adored granddaughter; Fiadh, Denis’ partner; Shanagh, Eoins’ partner; Angela and Seamus’ partner; Jennifer; her brothers; Micheal (Australia), John (Australia) Pat (Tipperary) and Tim (Gort) sisters; Ev (UK), Mona (UK), Kathleen (Tullamore) and Anne (Galway), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. Beloved husband and best friend of Josie (nee McGowan), predeceased by his son Paul, parents Jim and Sadie, brothers Jim and Tommy and sister Sally, sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter Karen, grandchildren Sadie and Rian, sisters Maureen Durrant and Sandra, brothers Martin and Sean, Karen’s mother Iris, brothers-in-law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, work colleagues in the Bohemian Bar, neighbours extended family and friends. Predeceased by his father James, mother Ann, brother Padraig and his sister Maura Conaty. Deeply regretted by his sister Aine, brother-in-law Tom Conaty, niece Aisling nephews Paul, David and Stephen, grand-niece, grand-nephew, cousins, relatives and friends. May Liam Rest in Peace.

The death occurred, unexpectedly at Hillingdon Hospital, London, on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 of Francis Anthony (Tony) Carolan, formerly of Cloonmacart, Drumlish, Longford.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret. He will be sadly missed by his three children Fiona, Annette, Anthony, his grandchildren Frankie, Christopher, Kerrie, Alfie, Grace, Hannah, great grandchildren, brothers, sister, relatives and many friends. He was loved by many, May he Rest in Peace.
The funeral will be arriving at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hayes, for mass at 12 noon on Friday, February 18. Burial afterwards will be at Kensal Green Cemetery, 2pm.

Kevin Quinn, England / Newtownforbes, Longford
The death occurred, in England, on Monday, January 17, 2022 of Kevin Quinn, England and formerly of Kilnashee, Longford, and 6 Castle Gardens, Newtownforbes, Co Longford.
He is predeceased by his father Henry and brother Conny. Kevin will be forever missed by his family, wife Susan, mother Nan, brothers Michael, Sean and Henry, sisters Elizabeth, Mary and Ann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends here in Ireland and England. Close to our hearts you will always stay, Loved and remembered every day. Rest in Peace Kevin.
Cremation Service will take place on February 18, 2022 in England. A Memorial Service will take place in St Mary's Church, Newtownforbes, Co Longford, at a later date.

The death occurred, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, January 13, 2022 of Kevin Dowd, London and formerly of Loughduff, Mullahoran, Co Cavan. Sadly missed by his wife Breda, children; John, Sheena, Ciara and Kevin, grandchildren; Jack and Ava, daughter-in- law Katie, sons in law; Tim and Aaron, brother John, nieces, nephews and extended family.
