The death  occurred peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2026 of Noel Marsden Ballymahon Road, Athlone, Co. Westmeath & formerly of Longford town, Co Longford.

Predeceased by his beloved daughter Carolyn, brothers Pat, Jimmy and Aidan and son-in-law Matthew. Sadly missed by his loving wife Helen, sons Jimmy and Noel, daughters Elaine, Maureen and Teresa, brother Hugh, sisters Maeve, Joan, Finola and Sr. Regine, daughters-in-law Simin and Ania, son-in-law Darren, his adoring grandchildren Sinan, Brendan, Ava and Jason, nephews, nieces, in-laws, relatives and many friends. Reposing at Flynn’s Funeral Home, The Strand (N37 WY17) on Friday, February 6 from 6pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday, February 7 at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Coosan (N37 XY95) followed by burial afterwards in Coosan Cemetery. House Private Please. Judy Pearse (née Orr), Delgany Wood, Delgany, Wicklow / Longford / Dublin

The death occurred at St Vincent's Hospital Elm Park on Monday, January 26, 2026 of Judy Pearse (née Orr) late of Delgany Wood, Delgany, Co Wicklow/ Longford/ Dublin. 

Predeceased by her beloved husband David, beautiful granddaughter Leah, dear brother David and her special cousin Sue. She will be sadly missed by her children Fiona, Shauna, Vanessa, Perrin and Garret, her sister Val, her many grandchildren, three sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, her brother-in-law, the extended family, neighbours and friends. A special word of thanks to the amazing staff in the Sugarloaf Care Centre, Kilmacanogue, who cared for Judy with compassion and kindness for the past fourteen months. 

A gathering to remember Judy will take place on Friday, February 20 at the Royal St George Yacht Club, Harbour Road, Dun Laoghaire commencing at 13.30. Friends and colleagues are warmly welcomed to attend and to share stories. Canapes and refreshments will be provided. Family flowers only. Michael (Noel) Frawley, Corabola House, Legan, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by family and friends in the care of the staff at the Regional Hospital Mullingar on Monday, February 2, 2026 of Michael (Noel) Frawley, Corabola House, Legan, Co Longford and formerly of New York.

Reunited with his parents Peter and Mary Kate, his brothers Tony and Gerry. Noel will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, sons Noel and Tony, daughter-in-law Christine, his brother Packie, sister Angie, his grandchildren Tristian, Brianna, Ethan and Aria, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews, neighbours and friends.

The death occurred unexpectedly but peacefully at The Midland’s Regional Hospital Mullingar on Monday, February 2, 2026 of Dymphna Townsend Hackett, Bannon Terrace, Longford Town, Longford. 

Anna Bohan (née Clancy), Killeveha, Cloone, Co Leitrim / Ballinamuck, Co Longford

The recent death has occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, Longford on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 of Anna Bohan (née Clancy), Killeveha, Cloone, Co Leitrim.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Patrick (Packie), her infant son Gerard, her parents Charles and Mary, brothers John, Peter and Michael, and her sister Nora.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving children and their partners Frank (Bernadette), Mary, Noeleen (Seamus McGovern), Padraig, David (Breege) and Anne; her fourteen cherished grandchildren David, Dermot, Martina, Kevin, Donna Marie, Karina, Conor, Anthony, Jacqueline, Leanna, Philip, Jessica, Christopher and Roisin; her adored great-grandchildren Aoife and James; her sister Bridie Flood, her brother Cathal Clancy, sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, extended family neighbours and many friends. Anna will repose at her home in Killeveha, Cloone (Eircode N41 X998) on Friday, February 6 from 4pm – 8pm. Remains to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballinamuck on Saturday, February 7 for Mass of the Resurrection at 1pm. Burial afterwards to Tubberpatrick Cemetery.

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the tender care of the nurses and staff at Sligo University Hospital on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 of Mena Guckian (née Geheran) Aughakilconnell, Kilnagross, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim

Pre-deceased by her parents Ellie Jane and Francie, her brothers Joe and Seamus and her beloved grandson Oran. Mena will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her devoted family. Husband Mally, son Mal (Leitrim Village) daughters Sinéad (Dublin), Bernie (Kilnagross), Emer (Dromod), Sharon (Keshcarrigan), sons-in-law Vinny, Cian, Brendan and John, daughter-in-law Paula, adored grandchildren Robyn, Anna, Lottie, Claire, Senan, Abban, Connall, Fiadh, Ellie Jane, Coan, Art, Faolán, and Íde, extended family, neighbours and many friends. William (Bill) Keogh, Knockhall, Rooskey, Roscommon, N41 KC82 / Doon, Limerick

The death occurred peacefully, after a long illness at the Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Monday, February 2, 2026 of William (Bill) Keogh, Knockhall, Rooskey, Co Roscommon and late of Doon, Co Limerick. 

Predeceased by his daughter Mairead, his parents John Joe and Josie (Josephine), his brother John and sister Mary Hartnett. Sadly missed by his loving daughters Siobhan and Hayley, his son Sean and grandson Tommy, his brothers Eddie, Tom, Pat and Gerard, his sisters Bernie and Josephine, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing at his home in Knockhall on Friday evening, February 6 from 6pm until 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning, February 7 to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rooskey, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Kilglass cemetery. Funeral mass may be viewed online here.

Colette McGuinness (née Casey) Drumboy, Mohill, Leitrim / Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Arus Carolan, Mohill, Co Leitrim on Sunday, February 1, 2026 of Colette McGuinness (née Casey) Drumboy, Mohill, Co Leitrim and formerly of Aghalustia, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon.

Predeceased by her parents Michael and Annie Casey, her sisters Maura Ryan and brothers Larry, Seamus (Jim) and Oliver (Ollie). Colette will be sadly missed by her devoted husband Stephen and children Micheál (Ari), Denis (Christine), Gráinne (Michael) and Patrick. Her grandchildren Isabella, Dylan, Milly, Ronan, Keelan and Rian. Her sisters-in-law Jane (Ballaghaderreen), Alice (London) and Margaret (London), her nieces and nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends. May Colette Rest In Peace.

Removal to St Patrick’s Church Mohill on Friday, February 6 to arrive for 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday February 7 at 11am in St Patrick’s Church Mohill followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Michael Smith, New Rooskey, Rooskey, Co Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully, in his 91st year, in the exceptional care of the nurses and staff of Drumderrig House Nursing Home, Boyle on Monday, February 2, 2026 of Michael Smith, New Rooskey, Rooskey, Co Roscommon.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathleen (R.I.P. 15th December 2025), his parents, Michael and Kathleen, his brothers Colm and Sé, his sisters Nuala, Kathleen and Pauline. Sadly missed by his loving children Deirdre (James), Fiona (Bernard), Michelle (Larry), Finbarr (Sandra), and Mark (Siobhan), his beloved grandchildren Alison (Sean), Jessica, Sam, Marc, Emily and Danú. Deeply regretted by his brother and sisters, relatives and friends. May Michael rest in eternal peace.

Donations in lieu to Drumderrig House Nursing Home Patient Comfort Fund c/o Rogers Funeral Directors, Rooskey. The family wish to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Drumderrig House Nursing Home. Mam and Dad were cared for with love and compassion and were like family to those who took care of them. We will never forget the gentle tenderness shown to Mam and Dad in their final days.

Beloved husband of Sydney and dear father of Robert (Dawn) and Clive (Elise), his adored grandchildren Samuel, Ben and Jacques.

Removal on Saturday, February 7 via his home to arrive at the Church of Ireland, Arva for Funeral Service at 2pm. Cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan. "Safe in the arms of Jesus"

George Bryson, Manchester and Buckley, Wales, and late of Drumbess, Cornafean, Arva, Co Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at Wrexham General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 of George Samual Bryson, Manchester and Buckley, Wales and late of Drumbess, Cornafean, Arva, Co Cavan. 

Predeceased by his wife Florence and his sister Eva. Sadly missed by his sons John and David, daughters Karen and Sandra, son-in-law Mike, brothers Victor (Doreen), John (Susan), sister Frances (Noel), his adored grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends. The funeral will be held in Manchester at a later date.

"Safe in God's Keeping". He spent many happy visits holidaying with his special niece Lorna and the Hamilton and Good Families in Cornafean, Arva, Co Cavan.
