Michael (Noel) Frawley, Corabola House, Legan, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by family and friends in the care of the staff at the Regional Hospital Mullingar on Monday, February 2, 2026 of Michael (Noel) Frawley, Corabola House, Legan, Co Longford and formerly of New York.

Reunited with his parents Peter and Mary Kate, his brothers Tony and Gerry. Noel will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, sons Noel and Tony, daughter-in-law Christine, his brother Packie, sister Angie, his grandchildren Tristian, Brianna, Ethan and Aria, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews, neighbours and friends.

Removal will take place Thursday, February 5 arriving at St Mary's Church, Legan at 7pm. Funeral Mass Friday, February 6 at 11am followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 1pm. Family flowers only please. House strictly private please. Funeral Mass can be view live HERE.

Dymphna Townsend Hackett, Bannon Terrace, Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred unexpectedly but peacefully at The Midland’s Regional Hospital Mullingar on Monday, February 2, 2026 of Dymphna Townsend Hackett, Bannon Terrace, Longford Town, Longford. 

Predeceased by her parents Joe and Tess, brothers Raymond, Joe and infant Christopher. Dymphna will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, sisters Marie Fogarty (Limerick), Teresa Feeley (U.K.), Kathleen Harley (Longford) and Deloras Bennett (Longford), brothers Zack (Longford) and Martin (U.K.), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Thursday, February 5 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. A celebration of Dymphna’s life will take place in Glennon’s Funeral Home on Friday, February 6 at 2pm, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 4.30pm. Christopher Verdon, Glasnevin, Dublin / Longford

The death occurred peacefully at the Mater Hospital, in the presence of his loving family on Saturday, January 31, 2026 of Christopher Verdon, Glasnevin, Dublin and formerly of Co Longford.  

Predeceased by his dearly beloved wife Bernadette. Deeply cherished and greatly missed by his son Conor, daughter-in-law Maeve, adored grandsons Alistair and James, nephews and nieces, extended family, and wonderful friends and neighbours. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Lower Kimmage Road on Wednesday evening, February 4 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 11am on Thursday morning, February 5 in St Francis Xavier Church SJ, Gardiner Street, followed by burial in Dardistown Cemetery. The Funeral Mass may be viewed HERE.

Mick Dunne, Cloncoose, Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Sunday, February 1, 2026 of Mick Dunne, Cloncoose, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by his sister Tess.

Mick will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his beloved wife and best friend Maureen, daughters Sharon Donnelly, Orla Waters, and Maria Finneran, sons Thomas, Micheál, Johnny and Damien, sisters Mary and Anne, brother Noel, daughters-in-law Fiona and Joanne, sons-in-law David, James and Eoin, his cherished grandchildren Jake, Adam, Davin, Skye, Mark, Emma, Harry, Michael, Oisín, Abigail, Robyn, Darcy and Logan, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Tuesday, February 3 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8.30pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday, February 4 at 11am in St Mel’s Cathedral, interment afterwards in Ballymacormack cemetery. The recent death has occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, Longford on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 of Anna Bohan (née Clancy), Killeveha, Cloone, Co Leitrim.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Patrick (Packie), her infant son Gerard, her parents Charles and Mary, brothers John, Peter and Michael, and her sister Nora.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving children and their partners Frank (Bernadette), Mary, Noeleen (Seamus McGovern), Padraig, David (Breege) and Anne; her fourteen cherished grandchildren David, Dermot, Martina, Kevin, Donna Marie, Karina, Conor, Anthony, Jacqueline, Leanna, Philip, Jessica, Christopher and Roisin; her adored great-grandchildren Aoife and James; her sister Bridie Flood, her brother Cathal Clancy, sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, extended family neighbours and many friends. The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Arus Carolan, Mohill, Co Leitrim on Sunday, February 1, 2026 of Colette McGuinness (née Casey) Drumboy, Mohill, Co Leitrim and formerly of Aghalustia, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon.

Predeceased by her parents Michael and Annie Casey, her sisters Maura Ryan and brothers Larry, Seamus (Jim) and Oliver (Ollie). Colette will be sadly missed by her devoted husband Stephen and children Micheál (Ari), Denis (Christine), Gráinne (Michael) and Patrick. Her grandchildren Isabella, Dylan, Milly, Ronan, Keelan and Rian. Her sisters-in-law Jane (Ballaghaderreen), Alice (London) and Margaret (London), her nieces and nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends. May Colette Rest In Peace.

Removal to St Patrick’s Church Mohill on Friday, February 6 to arrive for 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday February 7 at 11am in St Patrick’s Church Mohill followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Michael Smith, New Rooskey, Rooskey, Co Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully, in his 91st year, in the exceptional care of the nurses and staff of Drumderrig House Nursing Home, Boyle on Monday, February 2, 2026 of Michael Smith, New Rooskey, Rooskey, Co Roscommon.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathleen (R.I.P. 15th December 2025), his parents, Michael and Kathleen, his brothers Colm and Sé, his sisters Nuala, Kathleen and Pauline. Sadly missed by his loving children Deirdre (James), Fiona (Bernard), Michelle (Larry), Finbarr (Sandra), and Mark (Siobhan), his beloved grandchildren Alison (Sean), Jessica, Sam, Marc, Emily and Danú. Deeply regretted by his brother and sisters, relatives and friends. May Michael rest in eternal peace.

Removal to arrive at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rooskey on Thursday, February 5 at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Friday, February 6 at 11am with burial afterwards in Cloonmorris Cemetery, Bornacoola. Family flowers only please. Funeral Mass can be viewed HERE.

The family wish to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Drumderrig House Nursing Home. Mam and Dad were cared for with love and compassion and were like family to those who took care of them. We will never forget the gentle tenderness shown to Mam and Dad in their final days.

The death occurred peacefully in the care of the staff of Medical 7, Sligo University Hospital on Monday, February 2 of Tom Costello, Stramore, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.  

Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Mary Kate, nephew Cian, sister-in-law Carmel, brothers-in-law, Joe and Farrell. Tom will be sadly missed by his brother Ben, sisters Josie Rynn and Carmel Smith, nieces, nephew, grandnephews, friends and neighbours. May Tom Rest In Peace.

Tom will repose at Shivnan's Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon, on Wednesday, February 4 from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to St. Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo arriving at 7.30 pm. Una Murphy (née McGuire), Old Greenfield, Maynooth, Kildare / Rathcoole, Dublin / Mohill, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at The Residence Nursing Home, Maynooth on Sunday, February 1, 2026 of Una Murphy (nee McGuire) Old Greenfield, Maynooth, Co. Kildare and late of Rathcoole, Co Dublin and Mohill, Co Leitrim.

Beloved wife of the late Frank and mother of the late Kevin and Marie. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Liz, son Brian, daughter-in-law Carmel, son-in-law Pat, grandchildren Cristín, Sarah, Laura, Shane, Conor and Ellen, great grandchildren Adam, Darragh and Ben, sister Joan, brothers Vincent and Brian, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Leinster Street, Maynooth (W23V99E) on Wednesday, February 4 from 5pm-8pm, with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Thursday morning, February 5 at 10.30am to arrive at St Mary's Church, Maynooth for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by committal service in Newlands Cross Crematorium at approx. 1.30pm.

The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of Ballinamore Nursing home on Monday, February 2, 2026 of Michael Kilbane, Gardenstown, Carrick on Shannon, Co Roscommon.

Pre-deceased by his parents Bernard and Bridget, sisters Phyllis, Ann, Patricia and brother John. Michael will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his brothers Tony and Pat, sisters Mary, Eileen and Vera, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-niece, grand-nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends. May his gentle soul Rest in peace.

Reposing in St Michael's church, Drumlion (N41 HD26) on Wednesday, February 4 from 5pm with concluding prayers at 7.15pm, Funeral mass on Thursday, February 5 at 12 noon, with burial immediately afterwards in Jamestown cemetery (N41 K2X8), Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ballinamore nursing home, Drumderrig nursing home, Boyle and Sligo University Hospital for the care Michael received. House strictly private please.

Patricia Moran, Mohill, Leitrim / Keshcarrigan, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at Sligo University Hospital on Friday, January 30, 2026 of Patricia Moran, Mohill, Co Leitrim and formerly of Bonail, Keshcarrigan, Co Leitrim. 

Predeceased by her parents John & Annie Moran, brother Kevin & sister Mary. Patricia will be sadly missed by her sisters Lily, Ellen, Nuala, Teresa & Collette, brothers William & JohnJoe, brothers-in-law Noel Moran & Micheal Gilbane, Godson Alan & all her nieces, nephews & cousins. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Ellen and sister Geraldine. Sadly missed by his loving wife Eilish, cherished daughters Lorraine, Belinda, Marilyn and his son Declan, son-in-law Jorge, daughter-in-law Tracey, grandson Kynan, sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 29, 2026 of Robert James Boaden, 'Rockcrest', Main Street, Arva, Cavan.

Beloved husband of Sydney and dear father of Robert (Dawn) and Clive (Elise), his adored grandchildren Samuel, Ben and Jacques.

Removal on Saturday, February 7 via his home to arrive at the Church of Ireland, Arva for Funeral Service at 2pm. Cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan. "Safe in the arms of Jesus"
