The death occurred peacefully in the tender care of the staff at the Lisdarn Unit in Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 28, 2025 of Ann O'Reilly, Central Bar, Market Street, Granard, Longford.

Pre-deceased by her parents Sonny and Rita, brothers Tom and Harry, sisters Mary and Lily. Ann will be sadly by her niece Mary Donohoe, cousins, friends and neighbours. May She Rest In Peace.

Removal on Wednesday, December 31 to St Mary’s Church Granard for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by cremation in Lakelands crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan. Funeral Mass can be viewed online HERE.  

Jimmy Murphy, Drumeel, Ballinalee, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the care of the staff of Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown  on Sunday, December 28, 2025 of Jimmy Murphy, Drumeel, Ballinalee, Longford. 

Predeceased by his wife Julia, brothers Tommy, Paddy, Mickey, Johnny and Charlie, sisters Bridget, Maggie and Molly. Jimmy will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his family, daughter Teresa, sons Johnny and Jimmy, brother Joe (Legan), sister-in-law Bridget, his adored grandchildren Carrie, Julie, John, Marty and James and their mother Marie, his great-grandchildren Jamielee, Breeanna, Mark-James, Matthew, Aaron, Emma, Sophie, Eva, Hanna, William and Keelan, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal arriving to St. James's Church, Clonbroney, Ballinalee onTuesday, December 30 for prayers at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 31 at 11am. Following Mass, Jimmy will be laid to rest in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery. Patricia Slowey (née Devlin), Ardara, Donegal / Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at Donegal Hospice on Sunday, December 28, 2025 of Patricia Slowey (née Devlin), Tullycleave, Ardara, Co Donegal and formerly of Longford town. 

Loved and forever missed by her husband Terence, her children Yvonne (Matt), Jennifer (Owen) and Kelvin (Nicole), her grandchildren Lucy, Evelyn and Callum who she cherished dearly. Sadly missed by her sisters Teresa, Catherine and Margaret, her brothers Michael and Christy, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Margaret Devlin, and sister Angela. May she rest in peace.

Patricia’s remains will repose at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara on Sunday, December 28 from 6pm to 9pm and on Monday, December 29 from 12 noon to 8pm. Funeral home private on the morning of the funeral. Removal from there on Tuesday, December 30 to the Church of the Holy Family, Ardara, for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Leona Cox (née Lohan), Tullyvrane, Lanesboro, Longford / Strokestown, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully on Thursday, December 25, 2025 of Leona Cox (nee Lohan), Tullyvrane, Lanesboro, Co Longford and formerly of Moher, Strokestown, Co Roscommon and Drumlish, Co Longford. Predeceased by her parents Charlie and May.

Leona will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, her beloved husband Edward, son Aron, daughter-in-law Patricia, grandchildren Amy, Sarah and Daniel, sisters Mary, Loretta and Charlette, brother Tom, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Monday, December 29 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Patricia (Patsy) McGovern, Mohill, Leitrim

The death occurred in the wonderful care of the staff at Arus Carolan Nursing Home in Mohill on Monday, December 22, 2025 of Patricia (Patsy) McGovern, Mohill, Leitrim. 

Patsy is predeceased by her loving husband Phil and will be sadly missed by her sister Bernadette, her nieces and nephews, relatives, her good friend Declan Feeney and other friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, High Street Ballinamore (N41 TD62) on Sunday, January 4 from 3pm to 5pm. Funeral will take place on Monday, January 5 at 12 noon in St Patrick's Church, Mohill followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The death occurred peacefully on her birthday at the North West Hospice Sligo surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 25, 2025 of Maureen Winters (née Dwyer) Drummagh, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim and formerly Crummy, Drumcong and Aughnasheelin. (December 25, 1948 - December 25, 2025) 

Pre-deceased by her husband Patrick, parents Michael and Ellen, Infant brother Noel and brother-in-law John Cox. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family.

Maureen will be remembered with love by her daughter Ann-Marie (Goldrick), son Gary (New York), son-in-law Bernie, daughter-in-law Helen, adored grandchildren Stephen and Brían (Goldrick) along with their partner’s Laura and Alannah. Mass of Christian burial on Monday, December 29 at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Carrick-on-Shannon, followed by burial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Aughnasheelin.

The death occurred suddenly at Sligo University Hospital on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 of Patricia (Patsy) Moran Cortober Hill, Carrick on Shannon, Co Roscommon and late of Leitrim Village, Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim.

Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mai. Deeply regretted by her brothers Noel and Cyril, sister-in-law Bernadette, niece Nicola, nephew Thomas, niece-in-law Lisa, grandnephew Shay, grandniece Ellie and her caring neighbours and friends. May Patricia Rest in Peace. 

Patricia will repose in the Patrician Hall, Cortober (N41 XR79) from 4pm to 6pm on Monday, December 29. Funeral mass in St Michael's church, Drumlion at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 30.
