The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his adoring family on Thursday, October 23, 2025 of Patrick Joseph (PJ) Donoghue, Carragh, Granard, Longford and late of Castleblakney, Co Galway. Former Principal of Ardscoil Phádraig, Granard.
eloved husband and best friend to Mona and loving father to Ruairí, Padraig and Turlough. Son of the late Thomas & Bridie and brother of the late Joe. Deeply regretted by his brother Eamonn, daughters-in-law Jacinta and Katie, adored grandchildren; Padraic, Shauna, Conor, Grace, Laoise, Hannah, Emily and Cathal. The death occurred peacefully in her one hundred and first year in the wonderful care of the staff of Mountpleasant Lodge Nursing Home, Kilcock and surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 23, 2025 of Eileen Duignan (nee Reilly), Main Street, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim and formerly Ballinamuck, Co Longford.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Eddie, son Eamonn, sister Maura and son-in-law John. Loving Mam to John, Breege, Joseph (Joe), Kathy and Ann, grandmother to fourteen adoring grandchildren and great-grandmother to her twenty-four cherished great-grandchildren. Eileen will be forever loved by her daughters-in-law Doreen and Mary, son-in-law Seamus, Ann’s partner Syd and her nieces, relatives and many friends.
Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, Ballinamore, N41 TD62 on Saturday, October 25 from 4pm-6pm. As we mourn for our beloved Eileen, we celebrate her wonderful long life with colour, on Sunday, October 26 at 11am Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Ballinamore, N41 XN66, to express what she shared so beautifully with us as family and community. The death occurred peacefully surrounded by friends and family in the wonderful care of the staff at Galway University Hospital on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 of Patricia O'Brien (née McCabe), Clareview Park, Ballybane, Galway and formerly of Water Street, Longford town.
Pre-deceased by her husband Michael, brothers Ned and James, and sisters Mary and Veronica. Dearly missed by her brothers Martin and Barney, and sister Josephine, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and their partners, neighbours, relatives and friends. May her kind and gentle soul, Rest in Peace.

The death occurred peacefully in her 92nd year after a short Illness under the care of the wonderful staff at St Patrick's Hospital, Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim with her children by her side on Friday, October 24, 2025 of Mary Hilda O’Reilly (née Kiernan), Augharan, Aughavas and formerly Aughalough, Drumreilly Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by her parents Charlie Kiernan and Ellie Mitchell, her brother Willie and her husband Cornelius O'Reilly (Drumeela). Her daughter Shirley (Joe), sons Cathal and Connie, grandsons Daniel and Liam (Kate), great granddaughter Rhona will miss her endlessly.
Hilda will be fondly remembered by family, neighbours and friends. Her vitality, lust for life and jovial nature will never be forgotten by those who knew her best.
