Marian Hughes (née McCormack), Cloncullen, Ballymahon, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully at the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore on Monday, November 18, 2024 of Marian Hughes (nee McCormack), Cloncullen, Ballymahon, Co Longford.  Predeceased by her sister Rita and parents William and Bridgie. Sadly missed by her loving husband Pat, daughters Orla and Carol, sons-in-law Stephen and Kevin, beloved grandchildren Sophia, Kevin, Kai, Eliana, and Cole, relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.

Marian will repose on Tuesday, November 19 from 5pm to 7pm at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Forgney, N91 AE35. Funeral Mass is Wednesday, November 20 at 11am with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Anne Creamer (née Brady), Robinstown, Granard, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 18, 2024 of Anne Creamer (nee Brady), Robinstown, Granard, Co Longford N39C1Y6.

Predeceased by her parents Bernard and Ellen and sister Kathleen. Anne will be sadly missed and remembered by her loving husband Joe, sons Fintan and Patrick, daughter Joanne, daughters- in-law Danielle and Nicola, granddaughters Sophia, Everli and Indie, Sister Maureen, brothers Jimmy (Rosaleen) and Barney(Deirdre), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May She Rest In Peace.

Anne will Repose at her home (Eircode N39C1Y6) on Tuesday, November 19 from 2pm until 7pm. Removal to St Bernard’s Church, Abbeylara on Wednesday, November 20 arriving at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 21 at 11am followed by Christian burial in Granardkill Cemetery. House strictly private outside of reposing times.

Charlie Keogh, Clygeen, Legan, Longford

The death occurred on Saturday, November 16, 2024 of Charlie Keogh, Clygeen, Legan, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Georgina, his parents-in-law Paddy and Annie, his niece Louise, his nephews Barry and Derek, his brother-in-law George, and his beloved wife Brigid.

Deeply regretted by his loving family Anne-Marie and Gareth (Johnston), Gerard and Helena, and Joseph and Sarah, his brother Donald, his adoring grandchildren Georgina, Douglas, Charlie, Ronan, Molly Brigid, Ava-Marie, Niamh, Fiadh, Josh and Ben, nephews, nieces, his sister's-in-law Geraldine, Anne, Catherine and Bairbre, brother's-in-law Robert, Pat, John, Gerard and Oliver and all his cousins neighbours and friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Charlie will be reposing in Glennon's Funeral Home, Longford on Sunday, November 17 from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Legan, on Monday, November 18 at 12 noon. John James (Jimmy) Lennon, Aughacordrinan, Aughnacliffe, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in Mullingar Hospital on Thursday, November 14, 2024 of John James (Jimmy) Lennon, Barnet London and formerly of Aughacordrinan, Aughnacliffe, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret and sister Mary Ellen Martin. Sadly missed by his loving family, son Sean, daughters Caroline, Frances, Fiona and their mother Nancy,son in law Bob, grandchildren Myles, Liam, Annie and great-grandaughter Frances. brother Matty (London), sisters Kathleen Donohue (Carlow), Chris Keenan (Longford), brothers-in law and sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and his large circle of friends.

Reposing at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown, Monday, November 18 from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral on Tuesday, November 19 arriving for 11am funeral Mass at St Colmcille Church, Aughnacliffe, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematoriun Cavan at 2pm.

Gráinne Duignan, Rathgar, Dublin / Ballinamuck, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of all the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice Harold’s Cross on Saturday, November 16, 2024 of Grainne Duignan, Rathgar, Dublin and late of Ballinamuck, Co Longford.

Beloved sister of Carmel, Ciaran, Maura, Deidre and Margaret. She will be greatly missed by her family, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and former colleagues at Pius X N.S. Rest in Peace. 

A Funeral Service to celebrate Gráinne’s life will take place at the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross on Tuesday afternoon, November 19 at 2.30pm followed by cremation.

Joan Barrett (née O'Sullivan), Artane, Dublin / Drumlish, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, in the care of Beaumont Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 15, 2024 of Joan Barrett (née O'Sullivan), Artane, Dublin 5 and formerly of Drumlish, Co Longford and Pompano Beach, Florida. 

Margaret T McAuliffe (née Spillane), Aughnacliffe, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully at home with family and friends by her side, in San Francisco, CA on Friday, November 8, 2024 of Margaret T. McAuliffe (nee Spillane), 86 years old.

Devoted wife of Dan (Kiskeam, Co Cork, Ireland); loving mother of James (Florida); caring mother-in-law to Kristin (Florida); and admired Aunt to the Spillane (Ireland), McAuliffe (Ireland), O’Regan, Sheridan, Baglin, Cronin, and Moriarty families (San Francisco). Margaret was preceded in passing by her brothers: Edward, Jimmy, and Jerry. Originally from Polladoey, Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford, Ireland, an avid adventurer, Margaret emigrated to the United States in 1959. A truly dynamic force in the National and Local Irish communities, she was an especially proud member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, where she earned National recognition for her charitable work for many organizations including the Irish Immigration Pastoral Center, the United Irish Cultural Center (founding member), Good Shepherd Gracenter, Rebel Cork Ladies Association, United Irish Societies of San Francisco, the Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women, and Archbishop Riordan High School. Margaret was also an influential member of Saint Philip’s Church in Noe Valley for over 40 years. Her legacy will continue to be felt for generations to come as “that’s the way Margaret would do it.” In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you make a donation to the Irish Immigration Pastoral Center, United Irish Cultural Center, the Good Shepherd Gracenter, or your charity of choice.

James Brendan Kiernan, Aughakieran, Colmcille, Longford

The death occurred, after a short illness, bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, October 31, 2024 of James Brendan Kiernan, formerly of Aughakieran, Colmcille, Co. Longford and Benfleet, Essex. Brendan will be dearly missed by his wife Martha, his daughters Fiona, Eileen and Dionne, sons-in-law Francis, Ed and Pete, grandchildren Anna, Leila, James, Camille and Oliver, nieces and nephews, relations and his many friends. Pre-deceased by his parents Francis and Mary Ellen. Brendan was the last surviving member of seven siblings. May Brendan rest in peace.

Remembering our beautiful Jason who sadly passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Jason inspired us all by his bravery, courage and selflessness until the very end. Jason is deeply missed by his loving parents Bernard and Patricia, sisters Sabrina and Shauna, brother Conrad, his adored nieces, his brothers-in-law Danny and Noel, Conrad's partner Lana, his aunts, uncle, cousins and his wonderful circle of friends in London and at home.
