The death occurred suddenly in his 91st year at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 of T.P. Farrell, Gainstown, Mullingar, Westmeath and formerly of Newtownforbes, Longford. Predeceased by his beloved wife Anna May and their cherished infant son Oliver. A much loved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend; T.P. will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children PJ, Ellen, Thomas, Mary, James, Colette, Eamon and John, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Imelda (Donoghue), Margaret (Hughes) and Mary (USA), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and very many friends, especially those in the Angling community. Reposing at Gilsenan's Funeral Home Mullingar (N91 K660) on Friday, November 15 from 4pm to 6pm followed by removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30pm. Remains will be reposing at his residence on Wednesday evening, November 13 and Thursday evening, November 14 from 5pm to 8.30pm with a 15 minute break at 6.30pm on both evenings. A minibus service will be in place from Whitehall Church and St Barry’s GAA Centre on both evenings. (No parking facilities at house). Removal to the Sacred Heart Church Whitehall on Friday, November 15 arriving for 12 noon Mass. Burial afterwards in Kilbarry Cemetery. House private on Friday morning, November 15 please. The death occurred peacefully after an illness, borne with patience and grace, surrounded by her family, in the wonderful care of The Four Ferns Nursing Home, Foxrock on Sunday, November 10, 2024 of Bernadette (Bernie) Gannon (née Gillespie), Malahide, Co Dublin and formerly of Dromod, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, her sons John and Hugh, and her sisters Ann and Nuala. Cherished Mum to Louise, Tom and Frank. She will be greatly missed by her heartbroken children, her son-in-law Peter, her daughter-in-law Paula, her darling grandchildren Harry and Eabha, her brother Hugh, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and her wide circle of treasured friends.
