The death occurred suddenly in his 91st year at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 of T.P. Farrell, Gainstown, Mullingar, Westmeath and formerly of Newtownforbes, Longford. Predeceased by his beloved wife Anna May and their cherished infant son Oliver. A much loved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend; T.P. will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children PJ, Ellen, Thomas, Mary, James, Colette, Eamon and John, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Imelda (Donoghue), Margaret (Hughes) and Mary (USA), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and very many friends, especially those in the Angling community. May T.P. Rest in Peace. 

Reposing at Gilsenan's Funeral Home Mullingar (N91 K660) on Friday, November 15 from 4pm to 6pm followed by removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30pm. Eamon Lanigan, Currawn, Tarmonbarry, Roscommon / Tarmonbarry, Longford / Leitrim

The death occurred suddenly on Sunday, November 10, 2024 of Eamon Lanigan, Currawn, Tarmonbarry, Co Roscommon. Predeceased by his father Jim, mother Marcella, Paddy Ginger Flynn, nephews Enda, Kevin. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Mary, his devoted daughters Laura and Rachel, sons James (Lorena, James' partner) and Sean, sisters Phyllis, Mary, Kathleen, Marcella and Breege, brothers Richard, Tommy and Seamus, sisters-in-law Elizabeth, Nooreen and Mary RIP, brothers-in-law, Mick, Shay RIP, Michael, Sean and Patrick, cousins John F and Eileen, nieces, nephews, cousins, the extended Lanigan and Casserly families, relatives, neighbours and many good friends. May his Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Remains will be reposing at his residence on Wednesday evening, November 13 and Thursday evening, November 14 from 5pm to 8.30pm with a 15 minute break at 6.30pm on both evenings. A minibus service will be in place from Whitehall Church and St Barry’s GAA Centre on both evenings. (No parking facilities at house). Removal to the Sacred Heart Church Whitehall on Friday, November 15 arriving for 12 noon Mass. Burial afterwards in Kilbarry Cemetery. House private on Friday morning, November 15 please. Walter Finn, Artane, Dublin / Longford Town, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at TLC Carton Residence on Sunday, November 10, 2024 of Walter Finn, Artane and formerly of Great Water Street, Longford town.

Beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Mark, Kevin, Helen, Edel and Ronan. Sadly missed by his wife, sons and daughters, sons-in-law Don and Lee, daughters-in-law Vella, Rosin and Jamie, grandchildren Sophie, Rachel, Senan, Liam, Giorgia, Alva, Chloe, Alex, Mia, Iseult, Emmi, sister Nellie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. The death occurred peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024 of Philomena (Philo) Doody (née Brennan), Castleknock, Dublin and formerly of London, England and Edgeworthstown, Co Longford. Beloved wife of the late Damien, cherished mother of Derise, Tina and Paul, devoted grandmother to Emma, Martin, Louise, David, Natasha and Nicole and dear great-grandmother to Ellis, Charlotte, Frankie, Alexander, Marsie, Livvie and Charlie and sister of the late Bridie, Hugh, Tom, Jim and Vincent. Sadly missed by her loving family, son-in-law Eamonn, Geoff, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends R.I.P.

Removal to St. Mary’s Church, Edgeworthstown on Friday morning, November 15 arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Aughafin Cemetery, Edgeworthstown. The death occurred, peacefully at home, on Friday, November 8, 2024 of Róisín Drake Gilligan, St Anne's House, Rathbracken, Granard, Longford / Mullingar, Westmeath. Predeceased by her parents John and Bridget and sister Mary. Róisín will be sadly missed by her brothers Barney, Seamus, Eamonn, John, Michael, Paddy and David, sisters Ann, Bernie, Brid, and Nuala, her son Thomas, daughter Annmarie and Thomas’s wife Paula. The death occurred, peacefully, after a short illness, in the presence of her adoring family: husband Lincoln Wallen, sons Louis and Gabriel, daughter-in-law Audrey, sister Kathryn and aunt Angela Macken, on Saturday, October 19, 2024 of Siobhan Anne Foote, Ballymahon, Longford and Altadena, California, USA, formerly of Standlake, Oxfordshire, UK. Much loved and sadly missed by the family who were with her and by her parents Michael and Maureen Foote (nee Macken), brother Stephen, nieces and nephews Aida, Dominic, Thomas and Josie, uncles and aunts from the UK, Ireland and the USA, in-laws and relatives across the world, close friends, kind neighbours, and her beloved cat, Miss Puss. ‘Before us lies eternity; our souls are love, and a continual farewell’ - W.B. Reposed at Mountain View Mausoleum, Altadena, California, USA on Saturday, November 2 at 11am until 12pm Pacific Time, a memorial farewell prior to her removal to Ireland, followed by a reception at Altadena Town and Country Club. Funeral Mass in St Matthew’s Church, Ballymahon, Co. Longford, Ireland on Saturday, November 16 at 12 noon followed by burial in Shrule Cemetery.

James Brendan Kiernan, Aughakieran, Colmcille, Longford

The death occurred, after a short illness, bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, October 31, 2024 of James Brendan Kiernan, formerly of Aughakieran, Colmcille, Co. Longford and Benfleet, Essex. Brendan will be dearly missed by his wife Martha, his daughters Fiona, Eileen and Dionne, sons-in-law Francis, Ed and Pete, grandchildren Anna, Leila, James, Camille and Oliver, nieces and nephews, relations and his many friends. Pre-deceased by his parents Francis and Mary Ellen. Brendan was the last surviving member of seven siblings. May Brendan rest in peace.

Bernadette (Bernie) Gannon (née Gillespie), Malahide, Dublin / Dromod, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully after an illness, borne with patience and grace, surrounded by her family, in the wonderful care of The Four Ferns Nursing Home, Foxrock on Sunday, November 10, 2024 of Bernadette (Bernie) Gannon (née Gillespie), Malahide, Co Dublin and formerly of Dromod, Co Leitrim.  

Predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, her sons John and Hugh, and her sisters Ann and Nuala. Cherished Mum to Louise, Tom and Frank. She will be greatly missed by her heartbroken children, her son-in-law Peter, her daughter-in-law Paula, her darling grandchildren Harry and Eabha, her brother Hugh, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and her wide circle of treasured friends. Rest in Peace.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Friday, November 15 in St Sylvester’s Church, Malahide, Co Dublin. Following Mass, burial will take place in the family plot in Annaduff, Co Leitrim at 3pm.

Jason Coyle, Finea, Westmeath

The death occurred surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 of Jason Coyle, Finea, Westmeath.

Remembering our beautiful Jason who sadly passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Jason inspired us all by his bravery, courage and selflessness until the very end. Jason is deeply missed by his loving parents Bernard and Patricia, sisters Sabrina and Shauna, brother Conrad, his adored nieces, his brothers-in-law Danny and Noel, Conrad's partner Lana, his aunts, uncle, cousins and his wonderful circle of friends in London and at home.
