Alice Doris (née Brady) Ballinalee, Co Longford,

The death occurred peacefully, in her 90th year in Mullingar General Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 of Alice Doris (nee Brady), Aughnashannagh, Ballinalee, Co Longford.Predeceased by her husband Bernard (Barney). Deeply regretted by her loving family Mary Farrell (Mullingar), Sean (Redhills), Greg (Ballinalee), Pauline Jenkins (Ballyclare), Breen (Dundalk), her daughters in-law Clare, Colette and Majella, sons in-law Tom and Gary, her brother Pat (Kiltyclough), her sister's Sr Bridgie and Sr. Marina (Marist Sisters), her 17 grandchildren, her 9 great-grandchildren, nephew's, niece's, extended family, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at her home (N39 X4C8) on Thursday, April 18 from 12 noon until 8pm. House Private on Friday, April 19 to family and friends. Removal from her home to Holy Trinity Church Ballinalee, arriving at 7:30 Friday evening, April 19. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, April 20 at 12 noon, followed by burial in St. Emer's Cemetery, Ballinalee. Family flowers only please. Donations to a charity of your choice care of Farrell's Funeral Director's Ballinalee.

Michael Gannon, Whiterock, Longford Town, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 of Michael Gannon, Whiterock, Longford town. Predeceased by his parents John and Emily, brother Jim and by his beloved wife Mary. Michael will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, daughters Celine (Sloane), Anne (Clancy), Joan (Sullivan), Emily (Briody), Mary (Shaughnessy) and Catherine (Greene), sons-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and close friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81), on Friday, April 19 from 4pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, April 20 at 11am in St Mel’s Cathedral, interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live HERE.  

James Francis Kelly, Tinnenare, Mostrim, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the presence of his family on Monday, April 15, 2024 of James Francis Kelly, Tinnenare, Mostrim, Co Longford. Predeceased by his wife Bridie and infant son Seamus. Sadly missed by his loving family, sons Dean, Brian, Jim and Cathal, daughters Maria, Rita, Judy and Helen, sister Nancy, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, extended family and many friends. Rest in Peace.
Removal to St. Mary's Church, Mostrim to arrive for Funeral Mass at 1pm on Thursday, April 18. Private cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Donations if desired to Longford Palliative Care in lieu of flowers. House strictly private. Funeral Mass can be viewed live HERE.  

Nanette O'Connor (née Bryan) ‘Cartron House’, Battery Road , Longford Town, Longford / Walsh Island, Offaly

The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Newbrook Nursing Home, Mullingar on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 of Nanette O'Connor, Cartron House, Battery Road, Longford town and formerly of Eneghan, Walsh Island, Co Offaly. Predeceased by her husband Tommy, son Liam, son-in-law Eugene and by his brothers and sisters. Nanette will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughter Marian McGee (Longford), sons Murt (Wicklow) and Tomas (Clane), daughters-in-law, her 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Newbrook Nursing Home Chapel (N91 D232) on Thursday, April 18 from 5pm until 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday, April 19 in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Walsh Island (R35 YT04) at 1pm, interment afterwards in Walsh Island Cemetery. Jane Amooty (née D'Arcy) Ballagh, Newtownforbes, Longford and formerly of Creggan, Ferbane, Co Offaly

The death occurred peacefully in Mullingar Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 14, 2024 of Jane Amooty (nee D'Arcy) Ballagh, Newtownforbes, Longford and formerly of Creggan, Ferbane, Co Offaly. Predeceased by her parents, sister Josephine and brother Tom. Jane will be sadly missed and always remembered by her family, her dear husband Seameen (Jimmy), son Karole, daughters Denise and Michelle, sons-in-law Simon and Norman, daughter-in-law Heidy, her adored grandchildren and great- grandchildren Chad, Shaka, Michael, Brian, Christopher, Jacob, Emily, Lily, Amy, Noah and Cohen, brother Kieran (Creggan), sisters Mary (London), Bridie (Cloonrallagh), and Patty (Ferbane), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and dear friends. Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts. May Her Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
Jane will repose in her home on Tuesday, April 16 from 5pm until 8pm. Removal on Wednesday, April 17 to arrive to St Mary's Church, Newtownforbes for Funeral Mass at 11am. Elvin Vivienne Vernon Earley, 26 Church View, Boyle, Roscommon / Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred unexpectedly on Monday, April 15, 2024 of Elvin Vivienne Vernon Earley, 26 Church View, Boyle , Co Roscommon and formerly of Farnagh Estate, Longford town. October 11, 1976 - April 15, 2024. Predeceased by his father Gérard, brother Patrick and sister Carmenzita. Beloved son of Nora, doting dad to Adam, Kaylee, Layla, Leon, Amy, Shantell, Patricia, Samantha & Jacinta. Elvin was a devoted life partner to Vicky McDermott and a loving brother to Andrea, Vanessa, Amanda, Declan, Michael and Ivor, caring uncle to his nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews, a cherished friend and neighbour and to all who knew and loved him. May He Rest in Peace.
Elvin will repose in his home (F52AP96) on Thursday, April 18 from 4pm until 7pm. House private at all other times, please. Removal from his home on Friday, April 19 at 10.30am to St Joseph’s Church, Boyle arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am, followed by interment in Assylinn cemetery. Rosanna Paley (née Cowan) Melview, Derryharrow, Longford / Bray, Wicklow

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the tender care of the nurses and staff at Lough Erril Nursing Home, Mohill on Monday, April 15, 2024 of Rosanna Paley (née Cowan) Derryharrow, Melview, Longford and formerly St. Patrick’s Square, Bray, Co Wicklow. Predeceased by her husband Thomas, infant daughter Hilda, sisters Ellen and Mary, brothers Tommy, Frankie, Bernard, Freddie, Jimmy and Edward. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving daughters Nuala (Sligo), Adrienne (Longford), Margaret (Greystones), sons-in-law Ger, Patrick and Alaistair, grandchildren Emilee, Holly, Therese, Marisa, Patrick and Alexandra, great- grandchildren Remy, Sofia and Isabel, sister Kathleen (U.S.A), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Patrick (Pat) Higgins Cattan, Mohill, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 of Patrick (Pat) Higgins, Cattan, Mohill, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by his parents; Paddy and Cissy (Mary) Higgins. Sadly missed by his brother; Phil Higgins, sisters; Mary Higgins, Ann Leddy, Bernadette Bourke, Veronica Daly and his sister-in-law; Edel Higgins, brothers-in-law; Eamon Leddy, Tom Burke and John Daly, nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. Liam Noonan, Cloonaufil, Rooskey, Roscommon

It is with great sadness that the Noonan family announce the unexpected but peaceful death of Liam Noonan, husband of Vonnie and father of Séamus, Martin, Maria, Róisín and Noelle on Friday, April 12, 2024, two days before his 89th birthday. Remembered with love by his sons in law John, Ian and Damon and daughters in law Mary and Sandra. He is predeceased by his parents James and Teresa, brothers Sean and Seamus and his sisters Teresa and Rita. Sadly missed by his loving family, sister Patty (Kilmore) and brother Micheal (New York), cherished grandchildren Diarmuid, Dearbhla, Rachel, James, Euan, Amelie and Connor, extended family at home and abroad and his neighbours and friends.
Removal from his residence to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rooskey (N41EH72) for 7pm on Tuesday,  April 16. The death occurred peacefully, in the tender care of Ballinamore Nursing Unit on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 of Jimmy Keegan, Drumroosk North, Foxfield, Leitrim. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary, his brothers Gerard and Sean and his sister Phyllis. Deeply regretted by his sisters Marie, Chris and Detta, brothers Brendan and Noel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore N41 TD62, on Thursday evening, April 18 from 6pm to 8pm. Removal from the funeral home on Friday morning, April 19 to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Foxfield, for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Fenagh Abbey Cemetery.

Mary McGrath (née Maher) Drumlonan, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving husband and family on Monday April 15, 2024 of Mary McGrath (nee Maher) Drumlonan, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by her parents Johnny and Delia Maher. Mary will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Seamus, son Michael, daughters Louise and Emma, brothers Seán and Micheál, daughter-in-law Angela, sons-in-law Fergus and Fearghal, her adored grandchildren Molly, Lydia, Chloe, Shane, Emmett, Darragh and Aaron, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.

The death occurred suddenly at her home on Sunday, April 14, 2024 of Catherine O'Reilly (nee Caffrey) Togher, Finea, Mullingar, Co Westmeath. Predeceased by her parents and her brother Seamus. Sadly missed by her loving husband Jim, sons Conor and Ronan, sisters Marie (McKeown), Patricia (Garry), Noreen (Faherty), brother Pat Joe, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Reilly's Funeral Home, Kilcogy N39W1D6, on Wednesday evening, April 17 from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, April 18 at 2pm in St. Michael's Church, Castletown. Interment afterwards in Finea Cemetery. House private, please.
