Bríd Kiely (née Connell) Clontumpher, Ballinalee, Co Longford


The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 27, 2023 of Bríd Kiely (nee Connell), Clontumpher, Ballinalee, Co Longford. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Mary, brothers Micky and John and by her beloved husband Maurice. Bríd will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Charlene and Marese, son Tom, daughter-in-law Caroline, son-in-law Stephen McEvoy, brothers Paul, Tom and Davy, grandchildren Michaela, Jimmy, Nicole, Tommy, Maurice and Peter, her partner Owen, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Thursday, November 30 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday, December 1 at 12 noon in St Mary’s Ennybegs, interment afterwards in Aughaboy Cemetery. Michael Quinn, Rathgar, Dublin / Drumlish, Co Longford
The death occurred peacefully in the tender care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross following a long illness bravely borne on Sunday, November 26, 2023 of Michael Quinn, late of Woodleigh Oak, Rathgar and formerly Drumlish, Co Longford.
Deeply regretted by his many friends, including colleagues at Telecom Eireann and Kimmage Manor. He will be sadly missed by attendees and staff at St Mary’s Community Centre (Rathmines), staff of the Diwali Restaurant (George’s Street) and his faithful carers. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Lower Kimmage Road D6W N279 on Wednesday evening, November 29 from 4pm until 6pm. Removal on Thursday morning, November 30 to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Kimmage Manor for Funeral Mass at 11am, which may be viewed on the parish web camera https://mcnmedia.tv/Camera/holy-spirit-parish-church-kimmage  followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium (Victorian Chapel) arriving at 12.15pm. Eugene Keighran Clonbalt, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 25, 2023 of Eugene Keighran, Clonbalt, Longford town. Eugene will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, beloved wife Helen, daughter Caroline (Galway), son Kevin (Galway), brother Berney (Longford), son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Mary-Patricia, grandchildren Emily, Sarah, Mark, Anna, Nicola and Iveragh, great-granddaughter Freya, brother-in-law Jimmy, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Brian Gray, The Green, Lanesboro, Co Longford / Derrane, Roscommon


The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his family in the loving care of the staff of Sonas Nursing Home, Ballyleague on Sunday, November 26, 2023 of Brian Gray, aged 75 years, Derrane, Co Roscommon, and late of The Green Lanesboro & Liverpool. Predeceased by his wife Mai (Mc Mahon), and his sons Emmet and baby Paul, granddaughter Aisling (Brady) and sister Jacqueline. Sadly missed by his loving daughters Anne, Sharon, Jennifer and Amanda, daughter in law Siobhan, sons in law Stephen, Peter and Basil, sisters Irene and Beryl, brothers in law, 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, extended families and many friends. The death has occurred peacefully in the presence of her family following a short illness at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown on Saturday, November 25, 2023 of Rosaline Masterson, Dunboyne, Co Meath and formerly of Bruce, Arva and Aughaloora, Co Cavan. Predeceased by her beloved sister Cecelia Coyle. Deeply regretted by her loving sister Teresa Bishop and brother-in-law Eugene Bishop, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends R.I.P. The death occurred peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of Esker Lodge Nursing Home, Cavan on Sunday, November 26, 2023 of Larry Masterson, Drumroe, Cornafean, Co Cavan. Sadly missed by his loving nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and many friends.
Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Thursday evening, November 30 from 6pm until 7pm. Removal on Friday morning, December 1 at 10.30am to the Church of Immaculate Conception, Coronea, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11am, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of I.C.U. Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe on Saturday, November 25, 2023 of Padraig Thompson, Scramogue, Strokestown, Roscommon. Beloved husband of Marie and adored father of Michael and Siobhán (Lohan). He will be forever missed by his family, his brothers Fr. Peter and Johnny, his sisters Maryann, Betty and Una, his adored grandchildren Rachel, Laragh, Michelle, Éabha and Mikey, daughter-in-law Helena, son-in-law Ollie, sisters-in-law, Brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Padraig is predeceased by his parents Packie and Winnie and brothers Francis and Donal. May his Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his family, aged 85, on Saturday, November 11, 2023 of Joseph Lloyd, late of Hall Green, Birmingham, formerly of Forgney, Ballymahon, Longford. Predeceased by his wife Bridget, sisters Rosie, Bridie and Maureen, and brothers Tom, Sean and Pat. Much loved by sons Joseph and John, daughter-in-law Sue, sisters Dympna (London), Sarah (Moate), and Kathleen (USA), brothers Bill (Birmingham), Matt (Dublin), Mike (Forgney), and Christy (Surrey). He will be deeply missed by all family and friends.
Reception into Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Yardley Wood, Thursday, December 14 at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Friday, December 15 at 11.00am, followed by burial at Robin Hood Cemetery. Flowers welcome, or donations, if desired, to the Birmingham Irish Association, via collection at the church.

Carmel Mary Griffin (née Brady), Bohey, Drumlish, Longford


The death occurred, after a short illness surrounded by her loving family and Palliative Care, Mullingar, on Friday, November 24, 2023 of Carmel Mary Griffin (née Brady), Bohey, Drumlish, Longford and formerly of Breanrisk, Newtownforbes, Co Longford. Predeceased by her infant daughter Bernadette, parents Michael and Bridget Brady, sisters Patricia, Lizzie-Rose, Bridie, brothers John and Michael. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Tommy, daughters Evelyn (Kim), Donna (Gregg), sons Thomas and Gerard.  Sisters Margaret, Kathleen, Philomena and Josephine (USA), brother James (Newtownforbes), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, a large circle of friends and neighbours. May Carmel rest in peace.
Reposing this Monday evening, November 27, 2023 at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Removal to arrive at St Mary's Church, Gortletteragh for 8pm prayers. Funeral mass on Tuesday, November 28 at 12 noon followed by burial in Newtownforbes Cemetery. House private please.
