Elizabeth (Betty) Crowe (née McKee) Currabawn, Drumlish, Co Longford / Tyrone


The death occurred peacefully at her daughter Barbara's residence surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 6, 2023 of Elizabeth (Betty) Crowe (nee McKee) Currabawn, Drumlish, Co Longford. Predeceased by her husband Michael, infant daughter Teresa, parents John and Mary, brothers Hughie, Joe and infant brothers Patrick, Thomas and Gerard. Deeply regretted by her children John (Pauline), Eddie (Eleanor), Tom (Colette), Barbara (Frank), Colin (Ann), Olive (Niall), Tyrone (Georgina) and her adoring grandchildren, her sister Mary McDermott (USA), brothers Jim and Eddie, brother-in-law Eddie and wife Kathleen, nieces, nephews and her many great friends and neighbours. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home (N39 EC81) on Tuesday, November 7 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal from her family home on Wednesday morning, November 8 to St Mary's church Drumlish (N39 HT91) for 12 o'clock funeral mass, burial afterwards in new cemetery Drumlish. Patrick (Pat Joe) Donohoe, Dallow Rd, Luton, England and Springtown, Granard, Co Longford


The death occurred suddenly at his home on Thursday, September 21, 2023 of Patrick (Pat Joe) Donohoe, Dallow Rd, Luton, England and Springtown, Granard, Co Longford. Sadly missed by his son Michael (Sam) daughter Marcella and their Mother, brothers Thomas, Michael, Philip and sister Maureen McEnerney, grandchildren, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and a large circle of friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Reilly's Funeral Home, Kilcogy, (N39W1D6) on Thursday, November 9 from 6 pm with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, November 10 at 12 noon in St. Bernard's Church, Abbeylara. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Thomas McDonagh, Foynescourt, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred suddenly but peacefully on Saturday, November 4, 2023 of Thomas McDonagh, Foynescourt, Longford town. Thomas will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, father Martin, mother Una, sister Laura, brothers John and Martin, sisters-in-law Tracey and Natasha, brother-in-law John, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Patrick (Packie) Campbell, Abbeyshrule, Co Longford


The death occurred peacefully, in the care of the nurses and staff at Thomond Lodge Nursing Home, Ballymahon, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 5, 2023 of Patrick (Packie) Campbell, Abbeyshrule, Co Longford. Predeceased by his wife Maureen. Deeply regretted by his daughters Breege (Watson), Kathleen (Cahill), Mary (Moran), Helen (Rabbitte) and Annette (Farrell), his sons Martin and Padraig, his sons in law Mark, Pat, Kevin, John & Kevin and daughter in law Dee, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, friends and neighbours. Rest in peace.
Reposing in his home this Tuesday, November 7 from 4pm until 8pm. House Strictly Private at all times outside of reposing times. Funeral Mass at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 8 in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Abbeyshrule, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, please.

Frank Walsh, Park Villas, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of the Sunflower Suite, Autumn Lodge, St Joseph's Hospital, Longford, surrounded by his heartbroken family, on Saturday November 4, 2023 of Frank Walsh, Park Villas, Longford Town, Longford and formerly of Richmond Street, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Hilda, brothers Patrick and Johnny and sister Rita.
Frank will be sadly missed and always remembered with love by his family, wife Bernie, daughter Lisa, sons Ollie and Chris, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Grace and Sinead, adored grand-children Dillon, Dara, Claire-Belle, Rory and Noah, brother Peter and sister Lilly, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the staff of St Columban's Retirement Home, Navan, on Sunday November 5, 2023 of Fr Michael Dodd, (Columban Fathers), Liscahill, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford; Korea, USA and Dalgan Park, Navan. Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Delia, brother Anthony. Very deeply regretted by his sister May, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, Columban family and friends. May Fr Michael Rest in Peace.

Mel Cox, 'Lucerne', Arcadia, Athlone, Westmeath, N37 WK10 / Dromod, Leitrim


The death occurred, unexpectedly, in the exceptional care of Ratoath Manor Nursing Home, Co Meath, on Saturday November 4, 2023 of Mel Cox, 'Lucerne', Arcadia, Athlone, Co Westmeath and formerly of Dromod, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, sister Eileen (Hanley), twin brother Fr Gene Cox and younger brother Stanley. Sadly missed by his loving family Mary, Anne Marie, Bernie and Gerard, sons-in-law John and Tom, daughter-in-law Anne, grandchildren Ann Marie, J.J., Gina, Sean, Emma, John and Oran, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends. May He Rest In Peace.
Reposing at his residence (Lucerne, Arcadia, N37 WK10) on Tuesday evening, November 7 from 5pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, November 8 in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Coosan at 11am followed by burial afterwards in Coosan Cemetery. House private on Wednesday morning please.

The death occurred peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital on Saturday, November 4, 2023 of Jude McGovern, The Irish House, Main Street, Swanlinbar, Cavan. Son of the late Bartley and Brigid, brother of the late Joe, Teresa, Cait, Atty and Philomena. Deeply regretted by his loving sisters Maureen Martin (Swanlinbar), Rosario Gormley (Ballinamore), Daria Dolan (Bundoran), nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. May Jude's gentle soul rest in peace.
Jude's remains will repose at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, Eircode H12 RF78, from 5pm on Sunday, November 5 until 7pm. Cremation will take place at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Monday, November 6 at 11am. House strictly private at all times.
