Nan (Nancy Neal) McGrath, Gurteen, Ballymahon, Longford

The death occurred, in the care of Comfort House Hospice, Mc Allen Texas, on Saturday, May 20, 2023 of Nan (Nancy Neal) McGrath, Gurteen, Ballymahon, Longford and Mission, Texas, USA. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Nancy McGrath, her beloved husband Keith and her brother Paddy. She is sadly missed by her daughter, Megan, her son-in-law Jeremy Whitted, brothers Tom and Barney, her sister Kitty (Feeney), her sisters-in-law Julie and Margaret, nieces, nephews, her extended family and her many friends.
Nan's funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 26, in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Mission Texas, which may be viewed via their Facebook page Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Mission TX at 8pm (Irish time). A Memorial Mass for Nan will be held in St Matthew's Church, Ballymahon on Saturday, June 10, at 11am. May she rest in eternal peace.

James O'Reilly, Ballykenny, Newtownforbes, Longford
The death occurred in the USA on Saturday, November 6, 2021 of James O'Reilly, Ballykenny, Newtownforbes.
Predeceased by his parents Michael and Bernadette O'Reilly. Deeply regretted by his sisters Mary (Ruane) U.S.A., Dolores (Kane) Drumlish and Bernadette (Spielvogel) Germany, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Derek Kearney, Rath, Abbeyshrule, Longford

The death occurred, suddenly but peacefully, on Friday, May 19, 2023 of Derek Kearney, Rath, Abbeyshrule, Longford. Predeceased by his daughter Maisie. Derek will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his heartbroken and loving wife Joan, treasured daughters Maddie and Allie, his parents John and Anne, sisters Michelle and Sharon, father-in-law Jimmy , sisters-in law Caroline, Aoife, Catriona and Elaine, brothers-in-law Dave and Robert, aunts, uncles , nieces, nephews, cousins and his wide circle of many dear friends.
Your memory is my keepsake, with which we’ll never part. God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart. May Derek rest in peace.
Reposing at his residence (N39 C890) on Saturday, May 27 from 2pm until 6pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Sunday, May 28 at 1pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Abbeyshrule. Interment afterwards in Abbeyshrule cemetery. Please note there will be a one way system in operation for those attending Derek’s house, please follow the directions of the stewards. Margaret Carmody (née O'Reilly), Tarbert, Kerry / Gortletteragh, Leitrim
The death occurred, peacefully at home, following a long illness borne with great courage and dignity, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 of Margaret Carmody (nee O’Reilly) Sloatsburg and Tuxedo, New York, USA and formerly of Drumbad, Gortlettragh, Co Leitrim and Tarbert, Co Kerry. 
Margaret is predeceased by her parents John and Mary Kate, sisters Elizabeth and Mae and brothers Seán, Phil and Tom. Margaret will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Andy, sister Nancy McNaughton (Long Island), brother Cathal (Castleknock, Ireland), brother-in-law Bob, sisters-in-law Mary, Anna, Nuala and Sheila, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, extended family and many friends and neighbours in both America and Ireland. The death occurred, in her home in Poughkeepsie, New York, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 of Nan McMorrow (née Brady), New York and Garrymore, Ballinagh, Cavan. Sadly missed by her loving husband Pat, her adoring family; sons Michael and Mark, daughters Maura, Patricia, Ann, daughters in law and sons in law as well as her treasured grandchildren. Her sisters Mary (Fitzpatrick), Rose (Keenaghan), brothers Pat, Hugh and Danny (Brady), nieces, nephews and extended family. May Nan rest in peace.

The death occurred, peacefully, in ICU at Letterkenny University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, May 26, 2023 of Leo Penrose, late of Buncrana, Co Donegal, formerly of Ballynacargy, Co Westmeath and London. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Elizabeth, brothers Bill, Pat, Thomas, Birdie, Robin and Jodie, sisters Alice and Lena. Deeply missed by his loving wife Eileen, heartbroken daughters Eileen (Ronan) and Alice (Doherty), son-in-laws John and Patrick, devoted grandchildren James and Alice, sisters Vera (Maher) and Florrie (Glynn), brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives and many friends.
Reposing at his daughter Alice’s home in Buncrana on Sunday, May 28 from 2pm-10pm before travelling on Monday, May 29  to repose at his nephew Willie Penrose’s home, Ballintue, Ballynacargy, Co Westmeath N91 Y291 from 6pm. Arriving to Church of The Nativity, Ballynacargy for requiem Mass on Tuesday, May 30 at 11am with burial after in Sonna Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

The death occurred, tragically, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 of Seamus (Seamie) McCormack, Altown, Garrycastle, Athlone, Westmeath / Ballymore, Westmeath. Sadly missed by his loving fiancée Veronica Molloy, daughter Vaida, parents Eamon and Geraldine, brothers Edward, Ronan, Darragh, sisters Nicola and Colleen, Veronica's parents Eddie and Carmel (Molloy), nephews, Eoghan, Kian and Callum, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and many friends. Predeceased by his wife Julia, his daughter Mary (Nerney), his great-granddaughter Eleni, his sister Nell (Butler) and his brother Mick.
Frank will be sadly missed by his daughter Julia Kelly ( Ballymahon), sons Frank ( Croghan) and Pat ( Elphin), sons-in-law Míchael and Eamon, daughter-in-law Teresa, grandchildren Michelle, Richard, Luke, Eoghan, Katie, Eva, Jack and Ruairi, his great-grandchildren Sam and Scott, his wide circle of friends and very good neighbours and his fantastic team of carers, especially Phil and Martina. The death occurred, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 of John Dowd, Killycasson, Loughduff, Mullahoran, Cavan. Predeceased by his son Vivian and his brother Kevin. The death occurred, surrounded by her loving family at Galway University Hospital, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 of Deirdre Lynch, Corryard, Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim formerly Wicklow. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Frank Payne, sisters Eimear Lynch (Drumshanbo) and Aoiveen Simpson (Dublin), brother Denis (Maynooth), sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death occurred, peacefully in her 91st year, in the warm care of the Staff at Amberly Nursing Home Fermoy, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 of Crissie McCarthy (nee Murray), Fermoy, Cork/ Drumsna, Co Leitrim.
Beloved wife of the late Liam, predeceased by her parents, James & Margaret, her siblings, Peggy, PJ, Seamus and Patsy, dear mother of Seán, Liam, Moira, Mairéad, Eibhlín, Timothy, Ciarán, Finbarr, Brendan and Elizabeth. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchildren, Fergal, Muireann, Alice, William, Helen, Donal, Sharon, Étaín, Eve Thade and Alannah, sister Angie, sons-in-law, Oliver, Denis & Martin daughters-in-law, Audrey and Sandi, sister-in-law, Chris, brother-in-law,Thomas, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends especially in Fermoy.
