The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his devoted wife and family members and in the tender care of the staff at Galway University Hospital, on Friday, March 17, 2023 of Joe McManus, Mountallen, Drumshanbo, Co Roscommon / The Demesne, Longford (retired engineer Longford County Council). Predeceased by his parents Brian and Mary, sisters Mai Golden (Ballymote) and Eileen. Dearly beloved husband of Teresa and much loved brother of Anne (McLoughlin) John and Brian. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sister and brothers, parents-in-law Alina and Stanislaw, sisters-in-law Beata, Anna, Urszula and Colette, brothers-in-law Peter and Padraig, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, his many friends and work colleagues. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis.
Reposing at Shivnan’s Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon, on Monday evening, March 20 from 5pm until 8pm. Removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Arigna, on Tuesday morning, March 21 arriving for celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Arigna Cemetery. The family wish to thank you for your sympathy, support and understanding at this time.

The death occurred on Friday, March 17, 2023 of Mary Morrin (née Coffey), 3A Oldschool Crescent, Moneen Roe, Castlecomer, Kilkenny and formerly of Greenhills, Athy and Teffia Park, Longford. Wife of the late Johnny. Deeply regretted by her loving daughters Valerie and Yvonne, brother David, sister Marie, grandchildren Emily, Ryan, Evan, Conor, Holly, Finn, Jack and Sam, great-grandchildren Jayce and Kyran, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Rigney's Funeral Home, Athy on Sunday evening (March 19) from 6pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday morning, March 20 at 10.30am to arrive at St Michael's Parish Church, Athy, for Requiem Mass at 11am, see livestream link http://www.parishofathy.ie/. Burial afterwards in St Michael's New Cemetery, Athy.

Michael Wood, Osprey Park, Rooskey, Leitrim / Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Midland’s Regional Hospital, Mullingar, on Thursday, March 16, 2023 of Michael, Osprey Park, Rooskey, Co Leitrim and formerly of Longford. Predeceased by his parents. Michael will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his beloved wife Karen, daughter Katie Wall, son Jon, daughter-in-law Laura, son-in-law Kevin, sister Margaret, brother Matthew, grandchildren Dillon, Alex, Charlie, Kayleigh and Finnley, best friend Bosco, relatives and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Sunday, March 19 from 6pm until 8pm. A private cremation will take place on Monday, March 20. Family flowers only please.

The death occurred, peacefully at her home Avondale, Mohill surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, March 19, 2023 of Anna Margaret Dugdale (née Crowe), Avondale, Mohill, Leitrim, N41 V996. Beloved wife of the late Joseph (Dugdale Wholesale) and loving Mother of John, (Creenagh, Mohill) Deborah Clark (Killeshandra), Sandra Wylie (Ballybay) and George (Cavan). Deeply and deservedly missed by her loving family, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at her family home on Monday, March 20 from 3pm to 8.30pm. The family respectfully request that the house remains private outside of this time. Funeral service at St Mary's Church, Mohill on Tuesday, March 21 at 1.30pm. Burial in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. The death occurred, peacefully at Sligo University Hospital surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, March 18, 2023 of Mary Agnes McBrien (née Murray) of Riverstown, Cloone, Co Leitrim and formerly of Killaweew, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by her parents Ned and Katy Murray and her brother Michael. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons Sean (New York), Patrick (Kingscourt, Co Cavan) and Aidan (Cloone), daughter-in-law Diane, grandchildren Martin, Shannon, Tara and Sean, brother-in-law Pat (New York) and sister Kathleen (London), nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends. May her Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
Remains reposing at the residence of her son Aidan at Riverstown, Cloone (Eircode N41 KC81) on Wednesday, March 22 from 3pm – 7pm. The death occurred, peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, March 9, 2023 of James McCormack, Livingston, Scotland and Kenagh, Longford / Dublin. Predeceased by his father Tommy and nephew Thomas. Sadly missed by his loving wife Imelda, his son James, his daughter Natasha. His mother Patsy, brothers Tomás, Aidan, Enda, Niall, and his sister Deirdre, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, his aunt and uncles and a wide circle of friends. John (Sean) Ghee, London and formerly of Lisduff, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 of John (Sean) Ghee, London and formerly of Lisduff, Longford town. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Bridie, sisters Patricia and Catherine and brother Michael. John will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, sisters Bridie Flaherty (Bettystown) and Hannah Donohue (Athboy), brothers Tommy (Tullamore) and Joe (Longford), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The death occurred, at University Hospital Galway, on Thursday, March 16, 2023 of Peter Beeching, Strokestown, Roscommon. He will be sadly missed by his close friend Angela, neighbours and many other friends. Rest In Peace.
Removal from McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown, on Monday, March 20 at 10.30am to arrive for Funeral Mass in the Half-Parish Church at 11am. Burial afterwards in Clooncraff Cemetery.

The death occurred, suddenly, at his residence, on Thursday, March 16, 2023 of Pauric Cassells, Cornagresh, Mohill, Leitrim. Predeceased by his parents; Pat and Cissy, his brother; Tommy. Roscommon, formerly of Eadestown, Naas, Co Kildare, and of Ballyvaughan, Co Clare. Predeceased by her husband Edward, baby son Christopher, her brothers John and Patrick, and her sisters Molly, Anna, Philomena and Nuala. Teresa, loving mother to Eamon (Tuam), Nuala Brennan (Roscommon), Marie O'Grady (Clare), Patricia Long (Cork), Tommy (Castlerea), Teresa Collins (London), Brian (Longford), Geraldine Mulrenan (Castlerea), Claire Direen (Tipperary), Alan (Offaly), Ailish McDermott (Castlerea), Oliver (Castlerea) and Michael (Westmeath). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons and daughters, her sister Rita, her 38 adored grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy NÉE Wallace) England and late of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath / Louisburgh, Mayo


The death occurred, peacefully, on Friday, January 13, 2023 of Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy née Wallace), Ruislip, Middlesex, England and formerly of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath and Louisburgh, Co Mayo. Beloved wife of Brian and the late Eamonn and dear mother of Paul and Louise. Noreen will be very sadly missed by her husband and family, son-in-law Gary, daughter-in-law Jackie, her cherished grandchildren Natasha, Heather, Aidan, Pearse and Christy, her brothers Anthony, Stephen and Tommy, sister Mary, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. May Noreen rest in peace.
