The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the kind care of the staff of Beaumont and Mater Hospitals, on Friday, February 3, 2023 of Patrick (Paddy) Gilchriest, late of Walkinstown and formerly of Edgeworthstown, County Longford. Predeceased by his twin sister Bridie, brothers Mick, John-Joe and Frank, sister Maureen and brother-in-law Tony Beloved husband and best friend to Maura and devoted dad to Deirdre, Catriona, Enda and Síne and a much loved grandad of Jordan, Cathal, Eimear, Cian, Éadaoin, Róisín, Ciarán, Mairéad, Angus, Charles and Dymphna. Paddy will be forever loved and very sadly missed by his loving wife, children, sisters Lil and Teresa, brother Joe, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law Kevin and Peter, daughter-in-law Aoife, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. The death occurred, peacefully, at the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar, on Friday, February 3, 2023 of Mary McCormack (née Leavy), 57 The Green, Lanesboro, Longford. Predeceased by her husband Barney. Sadly missed by her daughter Rosemary, Rosemary's partner Richard and her two grandchildren. May her soul rest in peace.

The death occurred, peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, January 5, 2023 of Maura Reilly, Bohey Rock, Drumlish, Longford and formerly of Caterham, Surrey, England. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary Ann. Maura will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters Monica Thrapp (Longford), Betty Creton (Caterham) and Bernadette Rice (Dublin), her devoted nieces and nephews, Dawn, Tracey, Karen, Kate, Caitriona, Davey and Michéal, extended families, her brothers-in-law Willie Thrapp, Dave Creton, Charles Rice, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many good friends in Bohey Rock and Caterham. The death occurred, peacefully at home, on Thursday, February 2, 2023 of Ian Stewart, Ballinamore, Killashee, Co Longford. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Margaret. The death occurred, in the Mater Hospital, Dublin, on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 of Ellen Nevin (née Stokes), No 12 Glebe View, Longford Town, Longford. She is predeceased by her father Mikie and brother Mikie. Ellen will be forever missed and always remembered with love by her family, husband Michael, sons John, Michael, Anthony and Brian, daughters Ann-Marie, Sylvia, Amy and Helen, mother Ann Stokes, brothers Willie, Martin, Gerry, Patrick and Steve, sisters Winnie, Ann, Julie and Bridie, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, her 30 adored grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her parents James and Ellen McGoey and sister in law Marie. Mary will be sadly missed and loved by her family brothers Michael (England), Jimmie and Brendan, sisters Theresa Farrell and Helen Reilly, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, which occurred peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in Kettering General Hospital, of Michael Dowler, 1944-2023. Michael had so many memories of growing up in Abbeyshrule and the surrounding areas in Longford with his parents Michael and Kathleen Dowler and sister Nancy and cousin James Dowler. A loving Daddy to Nicola, Aileen, Kristine and Katie, grandad and friend to many. Funeral takes place in Saint Edwards Church, Kettering at 2pm on Friday, February 17, 2023.

The death occurred, peacefully after a short illness in the loving care of his family and staff at the University Hospital, Galway, on Saturday, February 4, 2023 of Patrick (Pat) Farrell, Hill street, Mohill, Leitrim, N41 T622 and formerly of Dunbeggan, Co Longford (aged 78). Pat, beloved husband of Maura and dear father to Maria, Thérèse and John. Sadly missed by his brother and sister, Emmanuel and Miriam, sons-in-law, Marc and John and daughter-in-law, Sarah and his adoring grandchildren, Isla and Evan; Maya and Ava; Oisín, Darragh and Cáit, his brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, wonderful friends and neighbours. The death occurred, peacefully in her 88th year, on Friday, February 3, 2023 of Nora (Noreen) Gibney (nee Rynn), Bolies, Oldcastle, Co Meath and formerly of Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath and Argentina. Predeceased by husband Jimmy, son Jim, brother Jimmy. Nora will be sadly missed by her children Mary (Stephen MacLoughlin), Noreen (Sean Whyte), Pat (Lorraine Sheridan), Joe (Ann Hegarty) and Michael (Mishu Westerveld), her brothers Michael (Castlepollard) and Pat (Galway), her grandchildren Roisín, Fiachra, Karen, Luke, Sorcha, Derval, Fintin, Séan, Aideen, James and Maire.
