The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the loving and excellent care of the staff of Lisadell Unit, Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, Longford, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 of Mafie Flaherty (née Devlin), No. 10 Bannon Terrace, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased, recently by her loving husband Tony (October 15, 2022), her parents Tommy and Christina and brother Mel. Deeply regretted by her loving sons Tommy, Brendan and Tony and daughter Collette, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and her many good friends and neighbours. Removal arriving in Saint Mel’s Cathedral, Longford on Monday evening, January 16 at 6:30pm via Bannon Terrace. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 17 at 1pm. Burial afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery. Michael (Mickey) Barden, Lismore, Newtownforbes, Longford

The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the exceptional care of the nurses and staff of St.Joseph’s Care Centre, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 of Michael (Mickey) Barden, Lismore, Newtownforbes, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Mary-Jane, sisters Maureen, Kitty and Peggy, brothers Brendan, Tommy, Séan and Seamus and by his beloved daughter Carmel. Mickey will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife Agnes, daughters Josie, Colette, Teresa, Martha, Caroline and Úna, sons John and Tommy, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The death occurred, peacefully surrounded by her family at her daughter Annie and son-in-law Paddy’s residence in Killala, Co. Mayo, on Friday, January 13, 2023 of Patricia (Patsy) Neary (née Farrell), Templemichael Terrace, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by her husband John Joe, her beloved son Noel, granddaughter Lynda, sisters and brothers. The death occurred, peacefully in his 97th year, in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, Rooskey, on Thursday, January 12, 2023 of Jack McKeon, Liscloonadea, Mohill, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by his wife Mae and his brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by his loving son James, daughter-in-law Deirdre, beloved grandchildren Alison, Jessica and Marc, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Jack Rest in Peace.

Michael Patrick Greene, Strokestown, Roscommon

The death occurred, peacefully, in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 of Michael Patrick Greene, of Birmingham, and formerly of Strokestown, Roscommon. Predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Anthony, Tommy, Johnny and sister Mary and wives Kitty and Maureen. Michael deeply regretted and remembered by his sisters Peggy and Nancy and brother-in-law Tom Fisher, and John Orahoe, daughter Pamela, son-in-law Lou sons Kieran and Adrian, daughter-in-laws, Helen and Caroline, grandchildren, Nicholas, Eleanor, Alexis, Talia, Francesca, Marijka, Lorna, Cairstine and Patric. Requiem Mass on Friday, January 27 at 11:30 am at St Joseph's and Helen's Kings Norton, Birmingham, followed by cremation at Lodge Hill Crematorium, Selly Oak, Birmingham. May he rest in peace.
