The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the loving and excellent care of the staff of Lisadell Unit, Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, Longford, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 of Mafie Flaherty (née Devlin), No. 10 Bannon Terrace, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased, recently by her loving husband Tony (October 15, 2022), her parents Tommy and Christina and brother Mel. Deeply regretted by her loving sons Tommy, Brendan and Tony and daughter Collette, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and her many good friends and neighbours. Removal arriving in Saint Mel’s Cathedral, Longford on Monday evening, January 16 at 6:30pm via Bannon Terrace. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 17 at 1pm. The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the exceptional care of the nurses and staff of St.Joseph’s Care Centre, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 of Michael (Mickey) Barden, Lismore, Newtownforbes, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Mary-Jane, sisters Maureen, Kitty and Peggy, brothers Brendan, Tommy, Séan and Seamus and by his beloved daughter Carmel.
