Mullinalaghta manager Mickey Graham said his side's historic AIB Leinster Club SFC Final victory overt Kilmacud Crokes shows what can be achieved with sacrifice and hard work.
"Our win will give the underdog and every little club some hope, some chance and we took that chance today," declared a hugely relieved and satisfied Graham, who was recently installed as the new Cavan manager.
"It hasn't sunk in, I'm shocked, totally shocked," he said, adding that he knew his players would keep on battling to the end. "They believed in themselves and have great work ethic."
Revealing that Gary Rogers took the penalty as regular penalty taker Donal McElligott was carrying a slight knock into the match, Mickey described the strike as 'a cool, cool penalty'.
