Moyne interpretative centre plan gains some momentum

The plan to develop an interpretative centre / museum at Legga, Moyne has taken a significant step forward after Longford County Council’s planning department gave the proposed project the green light.

The Latin School community centre committee lodged a planning application with the local authority, seeking to demolish an existing storage shed together with the proposed construction of a new building to facilitate a community interpretative centre / museum.

They also propose to change the use of existing vacant shop, formerly known as ‘Paddy's Shop’, into a barn style classroom, to construct an outdoor hedge school, and provide footpaths and all ancillary works.
