TURF, by the Rowan Tolley Company, will run at Longford Arms Hotel, Main Street this Sunday, July 31 at 3pm and 6pm as part of the Cruthú Arts Festival.
Running from tomorrow Thursday, July 28 to Sunday, July 31, the third annual festival is returning bigger and better than ever, boasting an impressive line-up encompassing all aspects of the arts.
Locals are invited to attend musical and literary performances from the likes of Jerry Fish, Aindrias de Staic, Richard Brennan and Mark Grist, join in some very interesting and hands-on art and poetry workshops and view the creations of our many talented, local artists as they set up pop-up exhibitions throughout the town.
As part of the festival, Longford-based actor and physical performer Frank Farrell will perform TURF, which doesn’t explore how to hold the turf, but rather how the turf takes a hold of you.
Kindly supported by Trident Holiday Homes and McCullagh Auctioneers, tickets for TURF (€7) are now available from Longford Tourism Office on 043 3342577, at www.longfordtourism.ie and on the door.
All tickets and places for the festival can be booked in the Longford Tourism Office on the Market Square, as well as online. For more information on this year's festival, and to find out more about the line-up, follow Cruthú Arts Festival on Facebook and Twitter and visit www.cruthuartsfestival.com
