Longford ICA's news, meetings and events that are taking place

From a walk to activities in the ICA headquarters, there is plenty happening throughout February

Longford ICA will be doing a February Walk

February Walk
Our next walk will take place on Sunday, February 15 in Lanesboro meeting in the car park behind the parish hall at 1pm, we will do the woodlands walk and meet in the Parish hub afterwards for light refreshments and a chat.

Spring Federation Meeting
Our spring Federation meeting will take place on the February 17 in ICA HQ hosted by Longford Town Guild, numbers for suppers to Angela McKeon on 086 1687372 directly after your guild meetings please. Competitions on the night are, art, Springtime poem no more than 14 lines, craft, a spring door wreath using any medium and produce is, white griddle bread, pan can be used, good luck to all.

Lotto
Our lotto draw was held on Wednesday, February 4 for a jackpot of €1,200, numbers drawn were 17, 21, 25, 27 and we had no jackpot winner. Congratulations to our three €20 winners, Laura Johnson, Teresa Mullooly and Patricia Doonegan. Our next draw will be held on 18th February when the jackpot will be €1,250, thanks to all who continue to support our lotto and to the ladies from Lanesborough and Newtowncashel for hosting.

An Grianan News
National Lace Week February 23-27. Courses include Carrickmacross Lace, Mountmellick Lace and Limerick Lace. Anyone interested in these courses please contact An Grianan directly. Further details later about the National Competitions, we wish all our federation members who are taking part in the competitions the best of luck, enjoy the experience ladies. 2026 An Grianan booklet will be available at the spring federation meeting.

Activities in ICA HQ
Activities in ICA HQ this week, classes are open to all. Wednesday 6 to 6.50pm Pilates. Thursday 12.30 to 1.30pm Chairobics; 8pm to 9pm Line Dancing. Friday 11am to 2pm Craft Morning. Saturday 4pm to 6pm Crochet class with Virginia.
