The event, on Friday, January 30, began with three presentations of glassware to young musicians Owen Smith, Senior Miscellaneous Champion, Chloe Spollen Champion of the 15-18 age group in the English Storytelling, and Tomás Mulligan who placed 3rd in 15-18 age group in the banjo competition.

All musicians performed, exhibiting their high level of tunes and stories.

On the night there was also a surprise Gradam Seirbhíse Comhaltas presentation to two committee members who have stepped down from full-time duties on the committee.

Patricia Masterson and Anne O’Neill were both involved in the founding of the branch 20 years ago, in memory of their late father Joe Callaghan CCÉ. This Gradam award signifies the dedication and commitment they have given to the branch over the last 20 years. Both ladies were stunned but very grateful. They were presented on the night with a Gradam Certificate, Medallion, glassware and flowers.

It was a very successful evening and Joe Callaghan CCÉ thanks all those who attended and supported the event. Well done to all involved.
