The Drumlish pop-up will offer the full collection of products from the homemade Janni Bars
Janni Bars, by Janni Sjöstrand, will be opening a pre-Christmas pop-up shop outside the site of the former Drumlish Flowers building from December 18–21. This is a good opportunity for anyone who wants to get a nice, high-quality Christmas present for a loved one.
The Drumlish pop-up will offer the full collection of shampoo bars, conditioners, soaps, deodorants, accessories and sustainable gift sets, alongside other Longford-produced goods including honey and chutneys. The aim is to make shopping locally simple, convenient and eco-friendly.

Janni Bars is a natural, plastic-free personal care brand that actually started in a stable here in Ireland, and are setting up an exclusive Christmas pop-up for the first time. They will have the full range of shampoo bars, soaps, deodorants and gift sets — plus other Longford-made products like honey and chutneys.
“I usually sell online,” said Janni, “but I’m using the empty space where the flower shop used to be, and I thought maybe we could do something. I spoke to the owner. I’m putting up my own products, and I’ve spoken to other Longford makers, so we will be selling honey from The Farmhouse and chutneys and stuff that are locally made.”
The business, which was started in 2018, is all about being sustainable and handmade. Janni relocated to Longford two years ago, and the business has continued to thrive.
As to what she hopes this Christmastime pop-up shop will give to locals and those driving by, Janni commented:
“I’d like to offer something. It’s all sustainable and handmade. I hope people can have the option to easily pick up the presents a week before Christmas. A little panic buying, husbands getting gifts for the ladies. There’s a good selection and something for everyone. The money is going into the circular economy of Longford.”
“I’m hoping that people appreciate it even if they’ve done Christmas shopping, just to say hello. I think Longford and Drumlish in particular, my hometown, it’s starting to flourish. There’s a salon, a cafe. Maybe we could do more things to get out and about and get to know each other.”
Since launching, Janni Bars customers have helped prevent an estimated 450,000+ plastic bottles from entering the waste stream by switching to solid shampoo and soap bars.

Janni concluded about her December shop:
“I’m proud to be Longford-based, and this pop-up is a chance to bring our full range directly to the community. It’s important to me that people can shop local, discover sustainable options, and support Longford makers at the same time.”
