The Longford Disability Community Disco was a great success in August, and a Halloween one is being planned

Having had a successful disco in August called the Longford Disability Community Disco, Ann O’Leary is getting ready for an October event to bring more joy to the area.

This will be my first Halloween disco,” she said when asked about how many discos she had hosted altogether.

By October, this Halloween disco will be the fourth altogether but the first of its kind. Dress-up is optional, and it will also include sweets and sensory toys. Donations from the previous disco were to go towards anything required for the next disco, and this one will be a “trick-or-treat”.

Ann makes the posters by herself and has brought great joy to those with disabilities, giving them the chance to have their own event. The location for this will be in PVs’ Red Room from 2pm to 4:30pm on October 19.

Music will be played by DJs Cllr Kevin Hussey and Dave Hussey from the LEDs, who also did the music for the over 30s disco.
