The All-Ireland Club Football Championship has reached its semi-final stages which will take place this Saturday, February 16.
Dr Crokes go into the weekends action as firm 11/10 favourites to get their hands on the Andy Merrigan Cup with defending champions Corofin a close second in the outright betting at 11/8 to retain the title for successive years.
The first semi-final throws in at Páirc Sean Mac Diarmada and sees Corofin tackle Gaoth Dobhair. The Donegal club find themselves in their first ever All-Ireland SFC club semi-final after winning their first Donegal Senior title in 12 years.
Connacht champions Corofin are 2/5 to secure a straightforward win and book their spot in the final to defend their title, however Gaoth Dobhair are seeing some support at their current 5/2 to cause an upset for Kevin O’Brien’s side.
Mullinalaghta have been enjoying a superb season having booked their spot in the semi-finals following a Leinster Final victory over Dublin giants Kilmacud Crokes. Although it may just be brought to a crashing halt by the Kerry side, as they go into their clash against two-time All-Ireland club champions Dr Crokes (1/11) at Semple Stadium as firm underdogs at 15/2.
Aoife Heffron, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “It’s going to be an action-packed Saturday of club football and although the odds indicate it will be straightforward passes to the finals for Dr Crokes and defending champions Corofin, our customers aren’t entirely convinced. Both Gaoth Dobhair and Mullinalaghta have had impressive journeys to the semi-finals and shrewd punters have been opting for their larger odds as opposed to their opponents who are both available at odds-on.”
