Next Saturday and Sunday, September 9 & 10, Kinnegad GAA club will welcome the cream of the crop of rounders, as the club will host the All-Ireland rounders finals for the first time.
Clubs from all around Ireland will descend on Westmeath next weekend in a bid to secure All-Ireland rounders glory.
On Saturday, the intermediate finals kick off the weekend's action with a start time of 1:30pm where clubs from Roscommon and Dublin battle it out for the ladies’ crown.
Also, that day the men’s final at 3:30pm sees an all-Connacht affair where The Galway City Rapparees take on Michael Glaveys of Roscommon which is sure to be a brilliant game.
To finish off Saturday’s action at 5pm, is the Intermediate mixed final which will bring teams from Ulster, Carrickmacross of Monaghan takes on St Clare’s of Cavan.
Attention then turns to Sunday where the best of the best of the sport line up to battle it out for Senior glory.
The action starts at the earlier time of 12pm where the senior ladies get their chance to show spectators what they are all about.
After the ladies’ game, the turn of the senior mixed final takes place which offers a unique element which one of the clubs provide which isn’t often seen in any sport.
Limekiln of Dublin take on The Heath of Laois who showcase how unique the mixed competition is by fielding a mother, a father and a son of the same family on the starting lineup which you cannot see in many other sports.
Longford RFC chiefs say 'long term investment' behind ambitious development plans
Senior officials from Longford Rugby Club have spoken of their desire to carry out a large-scale extension of its facilities as part of a “long term investment” in the future of its next generation of stars.
The last final is the turn of the Senior men which pits Erne Eagles of Mullahoran against Carrickmacross Emmets with the Cavan side looking to win their third men’s title in a row.
