A well-taken goal from full-forward James Noonan midway through the first half proved to be the decisive matchwinning score in Longford’s win over Meath (comprised of Intermediate and Junior club players) in the preliminary round of the Leinster Junior Football Championship and the second string county team managed by Padraic Davis now advance to meet the Cavan reserves in the quarter-final at Pearse Park on Wednesday May 25th.
