Longford's August First Friday line up

One of the most exciting names in contemporary folk will be making their way to Longford for an intimate gig in a particularly beautiful setting.

The headline act for August First Fridays event is Irish Folk singer Niamh Bury who will be playing St John's Church this evening.

This August's First Fridays Longford event is a great opportunity to see this remarkable artist.

Niamh Bury has been hailed as one of Irish folk’s most exciting new talents, a particularly prestigious coup during a time when the genre is garnering so much attention around the world.

Following this concert music lovers can enjoy a series of free gigs through the town: Deception, a five-piece rock and punk band from Longford, play Lyon's Bar at 9:30pm.

While The Brendan Kelly Band play Valentines Bar at 10pm ahead of the launch of their newest single Closing Time and ever popular funk, rock and pop band NEON play The Red Room in PV's at 10pm also.

On top of this be on the lookout for pop up circus and fire entertainers on the street and at the gigs.
