A light aircraft has crashed close to Gowran village, county Kilkenny earlier this evening.
The Air Accident Investigations Unit have been advised of the incident and have sent a team to the scene.
It is understood that at least one male was seriously injured in the incident.
Gardaí, medics and the fire service are at the scene.
