The first storm of the season is forecast to hit Ireland from 6am, bringing heavy spells of rain, potential flooding and very difficult travelling conditions.
Elsewhere, a status yellow rain warning has been issued for Co Cavan, Co Donegal and Co Longford, as well as the entire provinces of Munster and Connacht.
Both the status yellow and orange rain warnings will be in place from 6am until 8pm.

Meanwhile, a separate status yellow wind warning is issued for the entire country Friday.

On Friday, the entire country will be under a status yellow wind warning with the country braced for strong to near gale force and gusty southwesterly winds.
The forecaster has warned of difficult travelling conditions, debris and loose objects displaced and possibly fallen trees.
