The Boot Inn, a pub located near Dublin Airport that is over 430 years old, has reportedly closed down – much to the sadness of its patrons.

The North Dublin pub was believed to be one of the oldest in the country due to its current building being built all the way back in 1593.

Opening back in 1593, The Boot Inn was located behind Dublin Airport and boasted beautiful views of the northern Dublin scenery. The site was an important location for centuries, previously playing host to King James II in 1690 as well as multiple visits from the Great Liberator Daniel O Connell.

Recently emerging on TikTok as a hidden gem for those looking for somewhere to relax before their flight or to go plane , The Boot Inn was previously home to the Jets NightClub.

The site also boasted one of the cheaper Dublin spots for a pint of Guinness, going for €5.20.
