ALERT: Toy sword bought by almost 1000 Irish parents recalled due to major choking risk

A toy sword sold by a popular Danish company is being recalled due to a major choking risk. 

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), Flying Tiger Copenhagen is carrying out a recall of Sword with Light and Sound. 

The plastic surrounding the batteries can splinter after a drop or during play and expose the batteries, leading to a potential choking hazard for small children. 

The item number of the affected products is 3050473, and all batches are affected. 

There are approximately 793 affected products in the Republic of Ireland; they were on sale from November 2023 until February 2024. 

Customers should stop using this product immediately and keep it out of the reach of children. 

Consumers are encouraged to return the toy to their nearest Flying Tiger Copenhagen store for a full refund Flying Tiger’s customer care can also be contacted at email address onlinesupport@flyingtiger.com
