GARDAÍ are continuing to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in his 40s following an incident in Tallaght, Dublin 24 on Monday, December 11, 2023.
A post-mortem was carried out this Tuesday by State Pathologist, Dr Linda Mulligan. The results of which are not being released for operational reasons.
An adult male who was arrested at the scene remains detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a garda station in the Dublin Region.
A second adult male was arrested earlier this Tuesday, December 12 as part of this investigation. He is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a garda station in the Dublin region.
The investigation is being led by a Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) and a Garda Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been appointed to liaise with the family of the deceased.
Gardaí are appealing anyone who may have information regarding this incident to come forward to them. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tallaght garda station on 01 666 6000 or at the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
Investigations are ongoing.
