Longford man contests case of theft of cow from farm

A man has pleaded not guilty to stealing a cow from a farm in Co Longford over two years ago.
James Ryan, Barnacor, Ballymahon, Co Longford, appeared before a sitting of Longford District Court last Tuesday.


He is charged with allegedly stealing a red limousine cow from Gurteen, Ballymahon, Longford, on dates unknown between October 16 and October 18 2019.
The alleged value of the cow was €1199.


When the case was called, Mr Ryan pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Judge Bernadette Owens adjourned the case until a sitting of Longford District Court on December 9.
The court was told the hearing would take around two hours to conclude.
