Excitement builds for upcoming Longford Family Fest!

Longford Family Fest 2026 will take place in Market Square on Thursday July 23 and Friday 24
With the inaugural Family Fest now just days away, the excitement is building.
Set to take place in Longford’s Market Square on Thursday July 23 and Friday 24, it’s already anticipated that the festival will become an annual event.
Founded and organised by Councillor Niall Gannon, the festival will feature lively music on Thursday night, a market on Friday, followed by even more music that evening.
Said Cllr Gannon, “We hope to create a market type environment on the Market Square for kids and adults alike on Friday July 24 before the music starts.”
Artisan producers, crafts and makers of all kinds also have the opportunity to showcase their wares at Longford Family Fest.
Interested parties will have to act fast however as there are only a few stalls remaining. There will be no charge for your pitch in the market but permission must be sought from [email protected] or by calling 086-8507730
Cllr Gannon added, “Along with the vendors usually there on a Friday, I have a good collection of pop ups and stalls but anyone that feels they can add something to the afternoon don’t hesitate to contact me as I’m sure we can accommodate you. There will be no charge for your pitch on this afternoon but permission must be sought. You can contact me at [email protected] ”

Cllr Gannon continued, “The budgets are small but hopefully it won’t stop us having a few nights of fun. I want to start by saying a special thanks to a few good friends, some great bands and artists, Longford County Council staff, a gang of very talented young people, Longford Gardaí and local businesses for their help and advice over the last few weeks”
