Longford swimmer Darragh Greene had to settle for the silver medal in the 100m Breaststroke final on the opening day of the Irish National Winter Short Course Championships at the Sport Ireland National Aquatic Centre on Thursday last.
Troubled by a shoulder strain sustained in the recent US Open, Greene went under the minute mark in clocking 59.93 but was pipped for the gold medal by Limerick rival Eoin Corby who touched first in a time of 58.43.
