Outstanding Longford athlete Cian McPhillips from Ardagh is through to the final of the 800m at the European U-23 Athletics Championships in Finland.
Cian finished 4th in his semi-final heat this Friday morning in a time of 1:46.35 but will take his place in Sunday's final (4.10pm Irish time) as one of the non-automatic fastest qualifiers.
