Longford business captures prestigious award
A Longford business has captured the prestigious accolade of Best Family-Run Distillery 2022 at the Irish Enterprise Awards 2022.
Lough Ree Distillery in Lanesboro was founded by the Clancy siblings Peter, Sheila and Michael and they expressed delight with their success.
Announcing the great news on their Facebook page, they said, "We’ve a very simple vision for our business – to bring to the world, from our hometown of Lanesboro, the finest, most highly regarded Irish spirits."
Late last year, they added to their portfolio of products with their first blended whiskey, Bart’s, named in memory of their late father.
Reacting to being chosen as the Best Family-Run Distillery 2022, Peter, Sheila and Michael stated, "Every piece of recognition, be it awards, PR, or positive comments and feedback from customers provides a great boost and continued motivation to our hardworking team. Thanks to everyone who has made this happen."
