Hosted by Women in Touch this one woman play will provide a very enjoyable and invigorating morning’s entertainment from 10am – 12pm on Tuesday next the 27th October. All welcome.

Echo’s Launch

International Eradication of Poverty Awareness Event. This workshop hosted by Granard Art Club & Granard Youth at Lus na Gréine will see the launch of ‘Echo’s’ a Sculpture made by the groups. There will be a photographic/art exhibition also. Light refreshments and Raffle. All welcome.

Halloween events

‘Pumpkin Nursery Time’ A mini not so scary event for Babies, Toddlers & Wobblers in the Community Hall on Friday, 30th. from 1-2.30pm. Fancy Dress, Storytime and Puppet Show (suitable for children under 3yrs). REAL SCARY HALLOWEEN DISCO for bigger boys and girls! Venue Granard Community Hall October 30th from 6-8:30pm includes games,, treats and lots of scary surprises!

Defibrillator Course

Morning or Evening course available subject to sufficient interest. Professional Facilitator running course. Certificate on completion. Please enquire for further details. Limited to 8 places.

White Goods Maintenance & Repair Course

Commencing shortly in the centre . This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and expertise in this area. Open to Jobseekers. For further details please contact the centre.

Childcare Course FETAC Level 5

Coming to the centre subject to sufficient interest. FETAC Level 5 Award. Please let us know if you are interested contact the centre for more information. Starting early November.

Parent & Toddler Group

All babies, toddlers with their parents, grandparents or carers are invited to the Library for Storytelling on Tuesday next the 27th. from 10.30 am. All welcome.

Youth and Activity clubs

Will recommence 3rd November after mid-term break.


Tir na nÓg Macra Longford in collaboration with FRC are currently conducting a fundraiser based on when the first try will be scored in the Rugby World Cup Final. Scratch cards €2 each or three for €5 on sale now.
