Village & District Development Association
Last Sunday marked the first of our Car Boot sales. The weather was beautiful and there was great sense of Community Spirit. We wish to thank all those who came along to support our quest, the sellers, the buyers and the donations given to us by people who couldn’t make it on the day. Every cent counts and it WILL go back into the community. The Saturday clean-ups are continuing and the efforts being put in are very much in evidence around the village. We are very grateful to all the women, children and men in the community that are doing remarkable work, it’s FANTASTIC. Plans are afoot for a revival of the Lisryan Sports Day and further information will appear here soon.
Vintage
The annual Streete Vintage Philip Moran tractor run will take place on Saturday, July 12th followed by the annual Vintage day at Streete Parish Park on Sunday, July 13th.

Community Guard
Many thanks to Garda Tracey Shanley for the very informative evening, Friday last. We will most definitely work together and implement her ideas and hopefully, our community will be a safer place going forward. The Text Alert programme is a huge success. It is important to remain vigilant and always report suspicious activity to Granard Garda Station, no matter how trivial it may seem. Also put Granard Garda Station number in your phone today – 0436687660.
Wedding Bells
Best wishes to Helena Gaynor and Mark Keogh on their future together as husband and wife.
