The death occurred surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 5, 2025 of Paschal Flaherty, 50 Annaly Park, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by his father Frank, mother Josie, brothers Tony, Frankie and Seamus, sister Monica, sister-in-law Patricia Hayes (nee Fox).

Sadly missed by his devastated wife Mary and sons Graham (Dee), David, daughter in law, Angie, Dara and Pauric (Amber); grandchildren Leah, Paige, Jonah, Stella and Calvin; brothers John, Michael and Oliver, sisters Annie and Mary; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends. May Paschal rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennons funeral home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39EC81) on Sunday, December 7 from 4pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Mass of the resurrection on Monday, December 8 in St Mel's Cathedral, Longford at 11am followed by cremation in Lakelands crematorium Cavan at 3:30pm. Family flowers only. No mass cards or no sympathy cards by request. Donations if desired to Longford palliative care team, c/o Gorman and Fox funeral directors or any family member. Edward (Eddie) Brady, Crott, Moyne, Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home on Friday, December 5, 2025 of Edward (Eddie) Brady, Crott, Moyne, Longford. 

Predeceased by his parents Mary-Kate and John, brothers Phil, Andy and John Pat. Edward will be sadly missed by all his family, sisters Mary Ellen Gray (Drumhaldry), Bridie Mulligan (Drumreilly), Kathleen Scanlon (Athlone) and Betty Madden (New York), brothers Tommy (Culray) and Francie (Bunlahy), sister-in-law Annie, brother-in-law Padraig, nieces, nephews, relatives, his good friends and great neighbours.

No matter how life changes, No matter what we do, A special place within our hearts, Will always be there for you. Rest in Peace Eddie.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford N39 KN66 on Sunday, December 7 from 2pm concluding with prayers at 4pm.

Removal from his home on Monday, December 8 to arrive to St Francis Xavier's Church, Moyne for Funeral Mass at 1pm, followed by removal to Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd, Cavan for a Cremation Service at 4.30pm Funeral Mass can be viewed live HERE. Family home private please.

Hubert (Bertie) Fallon, Scramogue, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully following a brief illness in the wonderful care of the staff at Shannon Lodge Nursing Home Rooskey aged 94 on Thursday, December 4, 2025 of Hubert (Bertie) Fallon, Cordrumman, Scramogue, Co Roscommon and formerly of Bristol UK and Ballyhubert, Scramogue. 

Pre deceased by his loving wife Christine, sisters Ellen Young, Kate Keana, Mary Jane Cox and brother Sonny Fallon. Sadly missed by his loving son Colin and daughter Jayne Doorley, son in law Tom, grandchildren, Louise Green (Anthony), Christine Casey (Stephen), Frances Doorley (Gerry), great-grandchildren, Nathan, Keith, Jamie, Shauna, Aidan and Chloe. His many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and many friends. May he Rest in Peace. 

Reposing at Leavy's Funeral Home, Scramogue, Co Roscommon F42 FD78 on Sunday evening, December 7 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass will take take place on Monday, December 8 at 12 noon in St Anne's Church, Scramogue burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only - donations in lieu to the Irish Cancer Society C/O Leavy's Funeral Directors Scramogue. House Strictly Private. 

Bridie Hyland (née Dorrigan), Bayview, Westport Road, Clifden, Galway / Gortletteragh, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family in UCHG on Thursday, December 4, 2025 of Bridie Hyland (née Dorrigan), Bayview, Westport Road, Clifden, Galway / Gortletteragh, Leitrim. 

She will be remembered with love by her husband Pearse (Percy), children Sylvia, Alan and Tracy, her grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters and brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, extended family, neighbours and her circle of friends. May her kind and gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing at the Chapel of Rest, Ballyconneely (H71NN90) on Sunday, December 7 from 4pm until 6pm with removal afterwards to St Joseph's Church, Clifden arriving at 6.20pm for prayers. Funeral Mass for Bridie on Monday, December 8 in St Joseph's Church (H71NT26) at 11.30am. Funeral Mass will be streamed LIVE HERE. Cremation service to follow on Tuesday, December 9 at 2pm in Shannon Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations if desired to The Irish Cancer Society HERE. House private by request of the family. 

Helen McKeon (née Fitzpatrick), Drimna, Cloone, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully, at Sligo University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 of Helen McKeon (née Fitzpatrick) Drimna, Cloone, Co Leitrim.

Pre-deceased by her late husband Willie, sons: Liam and Gerard (infant), granddaughter Siobhán and son-in-law George. Helen will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Eileen (Texas, U.S.A.), Maureen (John), Bernadette (Pascal), Siobhán (Owen), daughter in law Rita (UK), sons Enda (Bridget), and Gabriel (Mary). Helen will be fondly remembered by her cherished grandchildren Heleen, George, Shane, Keelan, Adrian, Olivia, Andrea, James, Heleena, Geraldine, Sinead, Roisin, Sinead, Stephen, Christopher, Jerome, Fiona and Amanda, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. May Helen’s gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Helen’s remains will repose at St Mary’s Church, Cloone Village, Co Leitrim, (N41 V009), on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 4.30pm, concluding with prayers at 6.45pm. Funeral mass will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in St Marys Church Cloone at 2pm followed by burial in the local cemetery.

Please note there will be no 10am mass in St Mary’s Church Cloone on Sunday morning, December 7, 2025.

Frances Magarahan (née Maxwell), Calloughs, Carrigallen, Leitrim, H12RW56

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the exceptional care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital in her 95th year having been exceptionally and wonderfully cared for by the management and staff at Ballinamore Nursing Care Unit on Thursday, December 4, 2025 of Frances Magarahan (nee Maxwell) Calloughs, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim and formerly of Stroke, Aughawillan Co Leitrim.  

Predeceased by her husband Hugh, parents John and Ann, her sisters Rose, Mary Ann (Hoey), Bridie (Orchard),Cath (Mc Hugh), Josephine, Tessie (Martin), Margaret, Elizabeth (Reid), Susan (Lewis), brothers Patrick, John and Peter brothers-in-law and niece Carmel Mc Hugh. Frances will be deeply regretted with profound love by her sons Peter and Noel, daughter-in-law Karen, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and all her neighbours and friends. May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

Frances will repose at her home (H12 RW56) on Saturday, December 6 from 4pm to 7pm. Removal from her home on Sunday, December 7 to St Mary’s Church Carrigallen to arrive at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Monday December 8 at 11.15am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private at all other times please except to family, neighbours and close friends. Teresa Morris (née Gilgan), The Square, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim / Ballisodare, Sligo

It is with great sadness that we announce the death peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family aged 91 years on Saturday, November 22, 2025 of Teresa Morris (née Gilgan), Hornchurch, Essex, UK, formerly of Kilmacowen, Ballisodare, Co. Sligo, and The Square, (The Spar Supermarket), Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim.

Teresa is predeceased by husband John, son John, parents Patrick and Margaret (née Bree), and her brothers & sisters Michael James, Kathleen, Myra, Peggy, Patrick and Mary. Teresa will be deeply missed and remembered always by her loving children Theresa, Patricia, Geraldine, Pauline, Alan & daughter-in-law Nam, Margaret & son-in-law Kevin; her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. May Teresa’s gentle soul rest in peace.

Teresa’s funeral will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 10:45am in St Alban’s Catholic Church, Langdale Gardens, Hornchurch, RM12 5LA. Interment will follow at 12:15pm at South Essex Cemetery, Ockendon Rd, Upminster, RM14 2UY.
