The Late JP Kelly
It is with saddens that we record the death of one of life’s great characters, JP Kelly, late of Cunnareen, Aughnacliffe & Dolman Court, Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford on Tuesday last, June 16th at Tullamore General Hospital. To his brothers, Tommy and Michael, his nephew Markand his relatives and friends we offer our sincere sympathy. JP remains reposed at Connell’s Funeral Chapel, Church Street, Longford on Thursday until removal at two o’clock, via Drumlish and Cunnareen to St. Colmcille’s church, Aughnacliffe for funeral mass at three o’clock. Afterwards JP was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. RIP.
Fundraising Barbecue
Bunlahy Area Action Group are hosting their annual fundraising Barbecue in Creegan’s of Bunlahy on Sunday, 28th June starting at 4.30pm. Music on the day by Rhythm and Sticks. Your support would be greatly appreciated
Car Bingo
Colmcille minor club are holding their annual car bingo at the Cross on Friday 3rd July at 7pm. There will be lots of great prizes and spot prizes on the night. This is the clubs main fundraiser for the year and we would like to thank everyone for their loyal support in previous years.

Condolence to former Colmcille footballer, Bernard Smith, Rathmore, now living Kenagh on the death of his wife, Margaret which took place on the 17th. To Bernard, his daughters Michelle, Karon and Fiona, our sincere sympathy on your sad loss. RIP.
Vintage Club

North Longford Men’s Group
The weekly meetings for the group have concluded for the summer months and will reconvene in September. Our annual four day break is upon us as we travel to Wexford, staying at the Talbot Hotel. Many places of interest that we are visiting - Powerscourt House & Gardens, Glendalough, Dunbrody Famine Ship, JFK homestead, National Heritage park Waterford crystal etc, Looking forward to a fantastic and exciting trip. Our garden is constantly making progress and looking superb with many vegetables and flowers. Many thanks to all who have made it possible and to all who made the past year such a fantastic success, Thanks also to out chef’s who look after the group on Fridays Mary and Maire. Wishing everyone a very enjoyable summer and hoping that you gather all your harvest
