St Helen’s

St. Helen’s LFC Drumlish in conjunction with Moth Productions are putting on the play ‘A Lock of Fierce Roars’. This play is written and directed by John McManus. Set in rural Ireland in 2001, the play centres on a couple who are trying to groom an elderly neighbour into leaving them his fortune, which is hidden under the floorboards. He is no fool, however, and things come to a head when he is faced with declatring his money on account of the euro changeover. Throw in a bungled robbery, the shenanigans of the sympathetic youngster Davy and McManus’s unique mischief and you’ve got an outrageous comedy. The play will be performed in the ’98 Hall Ballinamuck on Wednesday night 26th February. It starts at 8pm and doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets are 10.00 euro each and can be bought in all local stores, or from any committee member. Tickets will also be available on the night. Tickets can also be ordered in advance by calling 086-1752773 or 086-1071990. As this is a local fundraiser for St. Helen’s we are hoping to see a large turnout on the night showing their support. A great night of laughter from beginning to end is promised.
