Dinner Dance
The Carrickedmond GAA dinner dance takes place in the Rustic-Inn Abbeyshrule on Saturday the 18th January ‘14 with the meal been served at 9pm. This event is always a great night of music song and dance and a night where all parionishers, club members, and players have a chance to come together to enjoy a club and parish annual event. Music on the night will be supplied by the very popular local “Dance on Band”. Tickets cost €25 each and are still available by contacting any club officer.
Used Stamps
Please collect used stamps and place them in the box located and marked “Used Stamps” at the rear of the Carrickedmond church and Abbeyshrule church. These stamps will be collected and used by missionary groups who make a small amount of money by selling them to stamp dealers.
Christmas Parish Newsletter
There are still copies of the Carrickedmond/Abbeyshrule Christmas newsletter available and can be had by contacting Fr Tiernan PP. This year’s issue is full of very interesting reading about various groups in the parish and lovely articles of times past including old photographs. This news letter would be of interest to people from the parish now living away.

When contacted please reply by text to confirm you will attend training. A class for new people wishing to learn the skills of CPR and how to use a defibrillator will take place during February 2014. If you are interested please contact Seamus McGuire at 086-8286748. The committee would like to wish all in the parish a very happy and healthy new year.
