Killashee St Brigid’s GAA football club is holding a fundraising night at Longford Greyhound Stadium on Friday, 12 of June. Admission €10 available from all committee members, or contact Owen Johnston 087 7615501 or Kevin Connell 0877679967. Children are FREE, ticket includes admission, race card and entry into a raffle for a One night in B&B with Dinner in the City West. Committee members will be calling to houses in the next few weeks selling these tickets. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Registration is now is now due priced at €40 for players and €20 for non players. Family deals available at €50 Money can be given to any of the Registrars who are Johnny Casey, Michael Magan & Anne Evans. The yearly St Brigid’s lotto tickets are available from any of the committee members for €45. Purchasing this yearly subscription ensures you are entered into all draws throughout the year and you are assisting funding the club in the year ahead. Congratulations to the Killashee St Brigids team who defeated Cashel in the reserve league. The win puts St Brigid’s into the reserve league final. The club would like to sympathise with Michelle Waters and her family on the death recently of her father Patrick McGee, Drumlish. May he rest in peace.

Congratulations to Johnny and Kealan and all the Longford hurlers on their great win over Louth after extra time on Saturday last , the win keeps them in the Nicky Rackard competition for next year. Wishing Johnny a speedy recovery.

Best wishes to all the local ladies who are taking part in the Ladies mini marathon on Monday next 1st of June. Many of the ladies are raising money for local charities. I am raising funds for St. Christopher’s Services in Longford and Michaela is raising funds for The Cancer Society and we would greatly appreciate your support.
