Clondra Heritage and Gathering Festival at Richmond Harbour, Clondra,
Sunday the 31st May at 1pm. Day in the bog enjoying the traditional days of turf cutting, free horse and carriage in and out from the bog. Canal events - Zorbing on the harbour, Canoe lessons and trips for kids, Free boat rides along the royal canal. Live demonstrations on harbour - Butter Churning, Boxty Making, Finger Crafts. Busking competitions, all welcome to take part,
cash prizes on the day. Live music in the Richmond Inn from 6pm.
Longford VTOS
The Longford VTOS programme is now recruiting. It offers full time business and computer training free of charge. To qualify you must be over 21 and in receipt of a social welfare payment. If you are interested contact Maeve Madden, VTOS Co-ordinator at 087 2050589.
Walk for fun
Meeting at the waterways house in Clondra every Thursday at 7pm. Weather permitting.

Walkers
As its that time of the year again, Longer evenings and the sun out. Can all dog owners out walking their dog please clean up after them. We don’t have the resourses to do this and if its your dog please clean up after them.
Night at the Dogs
Killashee St Brigid’s GAA football club is holding a fundraising night at Longford Greyhound Stadium on Friday, 12 June. Tickets €10 available from all committee members, or contact Owen Johnston 087 7615501 or Kevin Connell 0877679967. Children are free, the ticket includes admission, race card and entry into a raffle for a One night in B&B with Dinner in the City West. Committee members will be calling to houses selling these tickets. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Congratulations to the Killashee St Brigids team who defeated Cashel in the reserve league. The win puts St Brigids into the reserve league final. The club would like to sympathise with Michelle Waters and her family on the death recently of her father Patrick McGee Drumlish. May he rest in peace. The club would like to sympathise with Eileen Skelly and family, Clonmore on the death of Eileen’s mother, Teresa Naughton, Ballinasloe. May she rest in peace.
