Congratulations

To Mrs. Margaret Kelly, Russagh, who recently won the Brown Bread Baking competition and went on to compete in An Grinan I.C.A. competition in Termonfeckin, County Louth which she also won and is now nominated to bake in the All-Ireland competition to take place during the National Ploughing Competitions. Margaret is married to Michael Kelly and is also a sister of Johnny, (the hurler), Keary in this parish. We all wish her further success and no doubt she will enjoy the event.

Winner

Congratulations to Francis Butler and family, Culvin, Streete whose 8 month old Aubrac Bull calf won a first, third and fourth prize at Tullamore Agricultural show on Sunday, 10th last. Well done.

Bingo

Continues in Streete Parish Park at 8.30p.m. each Monday night and our Lotto every second Monday takes place during Bingo. We thank all who give us continued support which is what keeps us going.

Wildlife Club

The 2014 County Longford DTL Clay Shoot was held in the club grounds on Sunday last with 23 teams taking part. Full details and results in next week notes. The club game development programme for 2014 is continuing, and it’s hoped all going well that 250 pheasants along with some mallard duck will be released within the parish over the next few weeks.
