Register of Electors 2015/2016

The register is now being prepared. If you live in County Longford and wish to vote you should check that you are registered correctly to vote. If you have any family members resident in County Longford who will be 18 years or over by the 15th February 2015 they may also be registered to vote. You can check the Register by logging onto www.checktheregister.ie or by contacting Longford County Council on 043 3343311.

Confirmation and First Holy Communion

The dates have been set for these two parish celebrations. Confirmation is on Saturday, May 9th at 3pm. First Holy Communion is on Saturday, May 16th at 12 noon.

in Laois during the week.


ICA

We had a lovely walk in Newtowncashel on Sunday, last a big thank you to the ladies who came out and to those who provided the refreshments after the walk. Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, 7th October at 8.30pm in the Parish hall. We will be organising our open information evening so all members please attend. Our lotto is up and running again so stay in to win. I am now taking names for the basket weaving class so if anyone is interested please let me know as the class is confined to twelve people my number 086 8368277. As always we are looking for new members and if any past members would like to rejoin we would love to have ye back.

The Fright Fest Fundraiser

“The Fright Fest Fundraiser” will be held on Friday, 31st October at the GAA complex. This fundraiser event is for Pieta House this year. There will a 5K fun run, jog, walk on November 2nd. More details to follow next week.

Vigil

National Anti Bullying Coalition

Bingo will be held in the PJ Murphy Sports Hall on Sunday, 12th October at 3pm. €2,500 to be won. Monster raffle on the day.

Accord provides a profession marriage and relationship counseling service for couples, experiencing difficulties in their marriage and relationship. LCRL Drop In Centre

LCRL is offering a range of FREE services including Counselling for people suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, bereavement, depression and/or stress.
