The Devil’s Céilí

The Corn Mill Theatre Group will perform their final nine nights of the Devil’s Ceili as their build up to the RTÉ All-Ireland Finals in Athlone. They appear in the All-Ireland Finals on Saturday 3 May 2014, one of nine groups who will compete from the 1-9th May. Home Show Dates are as follows  - Monday 14, Tuesday 15, Wednesday 16, Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23, Thursday 24, Monday 28, Tuesday 29, and Wednesday 30 April. Doors open at 8:00pm and show starts at 8:30pm. Booking on 049 4339612 or 086 8765377 between 10:00am and 4:00pm or bookings@cornmilltheatre.com 

Easter Egg draw

Attention all readers under the age of 18. Join the Easter egg ‘sur-prize’ by coming into Carrigallen Library and taking out a book. Your name will be entered into the draw which will take place on Wednesday 16 April at 3:30pm. Prizes in all four age categories 0-8years, 8-11years, 11-14years and teenagers. St Mary’s NS

Just a reminder to everyone that the beautiful Easter Hamper is now displayed in McCann’s Centra Supermarket and lines for €2 each can be purchased in several local business’ before Friday 11 April 2014. The draw will take place on Easter Saturday. All funds will go towards the running of the National School, so your generosity is much appreciated.

The draw was held on Saturday, 5 April and the numbers drawn on the night were 11, 25, 26, and 30. There was no Jackpot winner and the four winners of €50 each were Kieran Kelleher (14 Club), Josephine Maguire, Lily & Kate Tully (14 Club), and Peter Donohoe, Gortermone. Next week’s draw will be held in Charley Farrelly’s Bar on 12 April and the Jackpot will be €11,200. Those in charge on the night will be the St Joseph’s team.

Pioneer function

North West Kilmore, Mass and Presentation of pins in St. Dallens’ Church, Kildallen on Friday, 11 April. Mass at 9pm followed by supper and social in the Community Centre. Everyone welcome!!

Lourdes

The Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from 27 May to 1 June 2014. Bookings for the Pilgrim Section are with McGinnity Travel, Cavan and for the Assisted Pilgrim Section with Rev Kevin Fay, Lavey, Co Cavan. Early booking is essential as places are limited. Tickets are on sale to support the Assisted Pilgrim Section and all support will be much appreciated.

Childminding

Training for Childminders and potential Childminders will take place on Saturday 10 May and Saturday 24 May from 10:00am to 4:00pm in the Food Hub, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim. Host families needed

Host families are needed for Spanish students attending a summer camp in Moyne Community School, for three weeks in July.  Payment for the three weeks is €550 and anyone can participate. For more information, contact maeve on  085 8391939 or moynesummercamp2014@gmail.com

Kayak Run

Easter Sunday  is D Day for the Kayak Runin Ballinamore, Co Leitrim! This is similar to a triathlon except instead of the swim one does a stint in a kayak. The kayaks will be supplied. Do you need support or information on a variety of issues such as social welfare, education or housing rights etc?
